Hello. Twin toddlers keep me busy, and I am their dad — hands-on, in my 40s. Carrying too much weight, plus a whole collection of injuries, aches and pains picked up from sport and some hard living earlier in life.

Being a twin dad at this age has taken a toll. I am exhausted, wound up, and heavier than I have ever been. That is how things sat for a long stretch, until it clicked recently that this is not permanent. Diet got sorted, tirz came in, and 7lbs have come off over the last couple of weeks. Sardines and tuna are basically my whole diet at the moment. Repetition suits me — eating the same thing daily never bothers me at all.

Only 2 tirzepatide shots in so far. No change in hunger yet, though I assume that comes with more time, and I am sure it is helping already without me noticing.

Lower back pain is significant, so is my shoulder, and my knees are starting to complain too — klow or something in that family might be worth exploring later, but my hope is that it eases as the weight comes down.

Fingers crossed!
