Hi everyone,

Buddha here. I've likely been around this forum a month or so, maybe more, and I keep coming back every day because the resource is that good. Moving away from compounding pharma toward grey is something I've been weighing up, and reading other people's experiences while learning from them has been genuinely excellent.

How the weight went:

Back in 2014 I was 342lb, and plenty of weight battles followed. 223lb was my lowest, back in 2022, and after that I swung between 240lb - 260lb. Then in November 2025 I went on glp1 (Tirz) via a compounding pharmacy. Oddly, November - March only saw 15lb come off. That said, things have picked up since my dose went up to 9mg.

And the injuries:

Obese as I've always been, I was still unusually athletic for my size. Trouble is, the heavier you're, the more impact your body takes and the likelier an injury becomes. Some nasty ones have hit me and each time my weight loss got knocked backwards. Tirz became my choice because I could feel age catching up and my body no longer coping with the injuries the excess weight was causing.

Some context: I dislocated my left ankle playing soccer at 300lb. A silly one, and looking back, 100lb lighter and it would have been nothing worse than a minor sprain.

So alongside the Tirz I've brought in the wolverine stack, hoping it helps with the most recent of those injuries.

Where I'm headed:

The plan: drop to 190-200lb, get strong, get healthier, build better eating habits and taper off the Tirz. Cycling back on when it's needed is still on the cards. Being a fairly holistic sort of guy, going on Tirz was not an easy call for me.
