Good Morning Everyone!!

Greetings from St Augustine, FL — the Nation's oldest city. I'm a nurse from the old school, having practiced back when physicians and administrators trusted us and gave us room to think critically. More than 15 years ago I moved into Med Tech sales; I keep my license current and look back fondly on the "good old days". My standard of living is far better now, yet I do miss the daily sense of impact that came with critical care work. Along the way I've accumulated wisdom and roughly 70 lbs, so my aim here is to add more wisdom while shedding the LBs. My wife began GLP-1s more than a year ago and has had some success, but dealing with our insurance company is a nightmare, and luckily I have no co-morbidities, so no approvals for me. After lurking in the forums for a while, plus time on Reddit and some medical forums, I've decided that once I gain more insight, I'd like to start on Ret, since early trials appear to show clinical impact not only on weight but also muscle sparing and decreased inflammation. Lilly currently has a Ret trial specifically for obesity with knee pain and I missed the window, hence my interest here. Happy to meet everyone, looking forward to learning as I go, and happy to help anyone with any of the knowledge I have picked up along the way!

Greetings from someone who works ER night shifts! Tirzepatide is where my peptide path began, and these days retatrutide has joined the weight loss effort too. With low starting amounts of each, taken 5 days apart, I keep dropping 1-2 lbs every week. The Klow peptide blend turned out to be what helped my joint pain the most. Wishing you well on your own journey!

Appreciate the reply and the details. Nothing has been purchased or begun on my end — I'm still looking into things and making sure I know how to source something that's been tested and vetted properly. How many years have you been on nights? I got off relatively easy, only around 3 years of nights, then switched to 11a-11p in the PACU.

My wife works swing shift in the ER, and the two of us are using white label Zepbound because her union insurance is solid. Looking after her well-being is genuinely difficult given what her job demands. On the days she's on shift, it feels as though anything good for her gets pushed aside.
