Hey everybody! I'm a girl from a small town who's just beginning her peptide journey. I'm joining up to soak in the learning and the knowledge base so I don't get duped 🙂 I've already put in a lot of research, and now I'm at the stage where all I need is a small push toward the right direction.

Ankylosing Spondylitis is something I was diagnosed with only recently. A bad car accident happened to me, and I believe that was the propelling factor behind my disease. Let's be real, I'm a lucky gal to be here today. Despite the challenge, I'm thankful to be vertical. The fire inside me burns far greater than the fire around me. Some days I giggle at myself, because from a pain standpoint that quote which keeps me going is quite ironic many days of my life.

Everything I can do to keep my condition under control without biologics is what I'm doing. Even after insurance, they are not something that I can afford.

Becoming part of a community that helps me down the path less traveled is my goal here. I look forward to seeing where this may lead 🙂

Greetings, and make sure to read, read, read. This forum contains a wealth of excellent information.

Hello, and I'm sorry that you're dealing with AS. Mine has been going on for more than 30 years. Some days will be terrible, some will be wonderful, and plenty will fall somewhere in the middle.

Do you have a rheumatologist? A low-cost first step would be to bring up Sulfasalazine and Diclofenac with your doctor. Celebrex is something I know a person takes, though I haven't tried it myself.

Thank you! Yes, a Rheumatologist is who I'm seeing. Due to my stomach lining, lots of the medications aren't an option for me. My hope is that with some peptides, my body can heal, which would let me slow down the progression. What has your experience with peptides been like? For your AS symptoms, have peptides been something you've tried? Especially since you've had the diagnosis for so long, I'd really like to know how you handle it.

Years back, I had to bring my diclofenac down from 75 mg to the lowest dose of 50 mg, since it was destroying my stomach. The idea behind sulfasalizine is that it slows progression. It doesn't appear to accomplish much, but my AS hasn't moved forward in years, so perhaps it is doing its job (assuming you're able to take a sulfur drug).

Peptides are still quite new to me, and personally I didn't get much benefit from BPC-157. KPV, on the other hand, has really seemed to help. I've been taking it for just two weeks, but this morning, after getting out of bed, I went down the stairs the way a normal person would for the first time in years (rather than one foot, one step at a time). I'm eager to find out how things go from here.
