Hi All -

New researcher here. A 32 YO male out of Texas, only just dipping toe into peptide world. Reddit and X communities are unbelievable and this site came up, so I figured I'd come over and give it a try.

Two weeks on Reta has me convinced this is where supplements and health are headed. Healthy was the label I carried before, yet in two weeks I feel and look better than I could only imagine. For me the biggest positive is the food noise most Americans deal with on a day-to-day basis. It has effectively removed itself from my head.

GMO and highly processed foods mean America is under attack. Peptides such as Reta, I believe, give us a prospective of what life was like in the 1950s - 1980s prior to the overhaul and redesign of consumer food products. The record shows that after the legislation of 1970 (Public Health Cigarette Smoking Act) passed by Nixon, banning advertisement of tobacco products, companies answered government regulation in tobacco space by pouring money into food manufacturing to hook new customers. Through the 1980s and 2000s, giants like Philip Morris and R.J. Reynolds directly controlled global food brands such as Kraft and Nabisco. Scientists who'd once made cigarettes more addictive pivoted into the food industry. Expertise built on hooking consumers went into designing ultra-processed foods engineer to encourage overeating.

Come the 2000s, the tobacco giants spun off their food companies and mostly walked away from the food industry, though not before leaving a lasting legacy on the foods we eat. On the shelves, comparing 1988 to 2001, products formerly owned by tobacco companies were 30% more likely to combine higher levels or fat and sodium and 80% more likely to combine carbs and sodium - the exact formulas that override the brain's "off switch".

An edge over the multi trillion dollar a year machine that is big food is what peptides such as Reta hand us. Roughly 60% of what Americans eat daily is now ultraprocessed. This is unsustainable. Breath shouldn't be held for legislation to fix this, but we are equipped with a variety of God sent methodologies to manage a healthier lifestyle.
