hi everyone, sylvie here

binge eating disorder has been part of my life for basically forever, lol. i've gone from skinny to heavy and back, but staying at a low weight never works out.

ever since ozempic became a big deal for shedding pounds, i've been watching glps from the sidelines. back when i was thin, i'd think, "wow, they really have it easy, hmph, at least i didn't cheat." these days though, i don't see it as cheating at all. for someone like me, with a constant inner voice tempting me to eat more, it feels almost essential. "one more plate, then i'll lock in." "i'll lock in tomorrow." "eh, i'll start next month." before i knew it, my "low weight" climbed right back to my heaviest, and i've stayed at my heaviest for close to two years now. something's got to change.

but my insurance won't pay for weight loss meds or anything like that. so, i went the grey market route.

my first stop was reddit r/ reta , and obviously s o u r c e s are off-limits there. still, they pointed me in the right direction, which led me to glpforum. through here i found a trusted vendor (you have to pass a test before you can buy anything) and i've now gotten tirz and bac water (hospira) from them.

my tirz has been chilling in the fridge for a few weeks because i keep hesitating. i'm still researching because long term side effects scare me. that's actually why i picked tirz over reta; tirz at least has "fda" approval. that calms my anxious brain a little. the main thing i'm worried about is the sudden vision loss cases reported with ozempic users; naion. i really want to take the plunge in the next few days and just inject 2.5mg of tirz to see how it goes. i keep telling myself, if it's scary, i can stop and it'll clear my system in 5~7 days. i hope i'm not alone in feeling this scared. i just want to get it over with so i can start losing weight again already.

i've already changed my diet, but the number isn't dropping because my stomach is like a black hole. they call me a hummingbird the way i can just drink straight sugar. that isn't normal. something needs to change. since cutting back on my sugar-filled lifestyle in favor of chicken and water, i've noticed less bloating, my face is less puffy, and i feel happier. i just need the weight to go down. i want tirz to help with that.

thank you for reading <3

Have you thought about trying keto too? Without glps, I dropped 30 lbs over roughly 3 months. I'm around 5 lbs away from my goal weight, and after every meal I feel fairly full.

I'm beginning a low dose of tirz for its neurocognitive effects, but even at .25 mg, fasting has become simpler for me.

in the past i tried keto and ended up fainting — maybe due to dehydration — but i haven't given it another shot in years. still, it's great that it worked out for you 🙂

fasting is something i know well and actually prefer over standard dieting haha.

that's wonderful to hear! which neurocognitive changes have you experienced? i'm considering beginning tirz at 2.5mg (the usual starting dose) and only increasing it once it feels less effective, perhaps after about a month.

i'm aiming to get a checkup + bloodwork when i visit my pcp, since i haven't had bloodwork done in something like 14 years hahaha. i figure it would be wise to do that before starting grey tirz.

So far, on the neurocognitive front, there hasn't been much I've picked up on, other than feeling less worn out while doing office tasks. That said, during the last week I haven't experienced the freezing or overheating that usually hits me. Simply stepping outside with wool socks and full layers no longer leaves my toes like blocks of ice. Ever since covid, my circulation has been awful.

To keep that faint feeling away, you should mix sea salt and potassium chloride into your water! In short, you're putting together your own electrolyte blend, which supports hydration and gives blood pressure a small lift. Check out snake juice—a good recipe for it was passed along to me by someone.
