Hey All, hope you are all well. Finding this forum has made me so happy - somewhere to talk things through and soak up as much info as I can. I spent the last two years reading heavily before deciding to try anything: for weightloss, for building muscle, for getting my body back to homeostasis, for getting this cortisol under control, and for easing menopause symptoms. I used to be in the gym at least 5 days a week, around 150 lbs at 5'8". Then I tore my meniscus, ended up in excruciating pain and immobile. Roughly 100lbs went on and I want to crawl out of my skin. This past December I finally had a total knee replacement and I am doing phenomenal - not even two months post op and I am ready to get back in the gym and find my new routine. The trouble is the embarrassment I feel. Anxiety about simply being in the gym has crept in and I find myself getting depressed. Athletic and active has always been who I am, so these two years took a lot from me, but I have tried to take it all in stride and keep a positive mind set... A cocoon is where I have been, waiting to emerge as a butterfly. There are some items on hand, and I have actually worked with ChatGPT on a schedule that suits me and gets the most out of the product, but I would really love to talk to people and get more insight from experienced individuals to help me - I would be forever indebted to rid myself of this burden and feel like myself again, possibly even better. Thanks for your patience in advance. RRR
