Male, in my mid-40s. Back and knee issues stemming from military service in my home country have been a persistent problem. These days I live in the Plains region of the US, work remotely, and have a young family. Finding time for exercise is a constant struggle, and even when I manage it, the old injuries flare up and limit both how hard and how frequently I can train. A sedentary routine plus chronic overeating has led me to try GLP-1s as a way to regain control. At 6'2", I currently weigh 275lbs. My goal is to get back to roughly 200. Once I'm below 220, running and cycling become less of a chore and more enjoyable, which helps me stay consistent. But since I let myself drift above that threshold, I'm using this approach to drop weight faster this time, after which I plan a full lifestyle change built around regular fitness. My diet is already healthy—my problem is portion size. So along with fitness, managing how much I eat is essential for keeping the weight off long term.
