Hey everybody!

Thrilled to be joining this space. I'm in my late 30's, and roughly 2.5 months back, a switch flipped inside me and I chose to get proactive regarding my health (obesity, insuline resistance, high cholesterol, anemia). It didn't take long before supplements and peptides became a real passion of mine. I feel very lucky, since one of the earliest things I came across was "food noise" — something I'd lived with for ages without realizing it had a name. This coming Monday I begin research on SS 31, and right now I'm on Mots-C, Tirz (soon moving over to Reta), and Tesa (found out about the ss31 overhaul only afterward). The shift in food noise is something I can 100% feel, even though my weight has hardly budged.

My guess is that my changes have moved very slowly because, on top of recovering from a procedure tied to an earlier cancer treatment, my Iron is extremely low — I'm treating it, but the recovery is very slow. That has made physical exertion a bit difficult, and naturally excercise is essential! Still, I'm going slowly and surely!

Soccer, swimming and the outdoors are things I love; and recovering and enhancing what my body can do without the extra weight is among the things I'm most excited about, though I'm very thankful to my body for everything it is doing and has done so far. After my weight and cardiovascular health are balanced, my plan is to research brain, neuronal, longevity, and "beauty" peptides, all while enjoying my ride regardless of the speed.

There's so much great knowledge and experience in here, and I'm very grateful for what you have shared, and looking fwd to reading your posts with excitement and care. Thank you all!

¡Bienvenido!

Thanks @herrjosh! Happy that we're on this path together! So, I've come across people saying they plan to switch to Tirz after hitting their body composition targets. Mind if I ask what's behind your choice? I might think about it as well, once I no longer require that additional assistance with fat burning, but I'm far from that point right now! In any case, well done on your choice and your commitment!

In my case, the difference wasn't all that noticeable, and whether the glucagon agonism is actually doing anything for me is unclear, since my weight comes off at about the same pace as it did with tirzepatide. On top of that, tirz costs less and clamps down on appetite more forcefully — with reta I think I could (and yes, I have 🫣) eaten past it, while on tirz pulling that off was VERY difficult for me.

I also had a faster heart rate and skin sensitivity when I first began reta (those have since faded; my start on reta was in May), but with tirz I never ran into any serious side effects.

That's only my perspective — with a solid meal plan plus exercise, I believe either option will produce great outcomes!
