Hey everybody! I’m 56, I live in southern Ontario, I’m raising 3 teens on my own (exactly as enjoyable as it sounds
), and I work as a preschool teacher.
My BMI came in at 32.5, which puts me in the obese range. (Yes, I realize BMI is an outdated and generally inadequate way to measure obesity, but it’s what my providers rely on.)
About 4 weeks ago I began semaglutide, and the bloodwork I had then showed I had only just hit “pre-diabetes.” GLP1s are pretty new territory for me, and I know even less about other GLP medications and how they work. I’m here to learn as much as I can!
