New member here and noob to the whole scene. I’ve been lurking for a bit and already learning a lot. Looking forward to continuing to learn.

It appears my intro wasn’t sufficient. I’m very new but here’s my journey so far.

I was pre-diabetic for about a decade and that progressed to Type 2 a few years ago. I also have a family history of heart disease so I’ve been on statins for about 15 years. What brought me here?

The statins have caused joint pain despite also taking some co-q10 supplements. When I was diagnosed with Type 2 I was prescribed metformin but I also needed to lose weight. After a couple of years on metformin I decided to try sema oral. I lost a few pounds but rebounded back to original weight. Biggest issue was insurance changes and sema was $1200 per month. So I started researching and found an online pharmacy / Dr to prescribe tirz. After titrating almost all the way up I canceled the RX and began my peptide journey. I’m currently on 13.5mg/ week but also recently added KLOW and CJC-1295 no dac with IPA. Will be adding MOTS-C in the next week.

I’m looking to learn more as I’ve become a “sucker” for supplements as I’m trying to achieve the following:

1) continue diabetes control (currently at 5.7 A1C, which Doctor is happy with)

2) reduce / eliminate hip and back pain

3) reduce risk factors for heart attack and stroke

4) potentially reduce / eliminate some of my supplements

5) reduce or eliminate statin (rosuvastatin currently)

Looking forward to interacting with the community and continuing to learn.

My partner is a type 1 diabetic, your A1C of 5.7 is a pipe dream! 🥵 Good work. I know it’s hard.

My household recently introduced whole wheat ancient grains into our nutritional consumption (versus the commercial flour available here in the US). I’m 6 months into making our own bread/rolls/snacks and have had 95% reduction in arthritic pain from what I’m assuming stems from my psoriasis. Diabetic partner has been able to get off of high blood pressure meds, A1C lingers around 7.4-8. Neither of us are on peptides….yet. Wanted to put forth the effort in nutritional changes first. Very happy with whole grain berries and I could talk about them forever, but I’ll stop here.

Your in a good place. I reversed pre-diabetes diabetes with the carnivore diet, a lot of people have. I added reta, and exercise, now I'm borderline healthy.

I'm not making a claim here, but I have read about people reversing type 2 with the protocol I'm on.

My knees hurt about a year ago. Loosing wieght and exercising fixed that also.
