Hey everyone.

I'm 37, I windsurf, and I'm working on dropping the last 20 pounds.

Up to this point, tracking calories, going on hikes, and drinking protein shakes to keep hunger down have worked really well. That said, those last stubborn bodyfat percentages have me stuck at a plateau. My new healthy habits haven't changed the fact that once I get to roughly 17% bodyfat, the body seems to make things much harder.

A buddy brought up retatrutide, and now I'm reta-curious. This looks like the place where people have all the answers.

What I'm after: advice and guidance from folks in a similar spot, plus a "tried and true" route with GLPs. In return, I can share solid info on conventional dieting and motivation.

Hiiii

Glad to have you here.

Do spend time reading about retatrutide: what it does, the way it works its magic, the risks, and how to source it. It genuinely changes lives.

Thanks lastresort. The triple action makes it seem like the top choice.

Since I'm extremely careful about dosing, my guess is my side effects will be milder than what most people get (same thing happened with TRT... I stay on the low end)

Glad you're here—I just joined too. May this place give you everything you're looking for and some fantastic progress. (On reta I dropped roughly 20 lbs within a month; my guess is 10-14 lbs of that was fat.)

Hello! You can find loads of info around here. Reta has helped me drop roughly 10-12kgs, though it won't do the job by itself. Treat it more like an aid that makes the weight loss process slightly less difficult — you still have to plan meals, stay in a deficit, and work out.

In my case, working out wasn't the issue. What I struggled with was breaking the eating patterns, and that's why I turned to Reta.

Should you decide to try it, start at a low dose and give it time rather than rushing to increase it. Plenty of folks ramp up too fast, and there's really no need for that. Definitely do your reading first so you understand what you're getting into!

If anything about how it went for me sparks a question, just ask. Wishing you the very best on your own path!

Same here - anything I put in my body gets handled with a lot of care. My approach is to aim at a dose that does nothing at all and climb until something registers.

Reta can be a really useful thing for shaping how you eat, and it should get you past that plateau. For me, it made a big difference in viewing food purely as fuel and being more mindful about what goes into my body. After I began Reta, eating items such as pizza and ice cream leaves me feeling worse than I did before Reta. Knowing the way I will feel later, I no longer want to eat those things.

Great work dropping -70lb with no glp’s involved! Nice job.
