Good evening everyone, for a good while now I've been digging deeper and deeper into research about what all the various peptides can do for a person. When it comes to looking after myself, I've always come last, if I even made the list at all. Every part of me is a work in progress right now, and peptides are one of the tools I want to use on that journey.

In the past I was on Ozempic briefly (my insurance would only pay for 1 month), and last year I made the switch to compounded Sem. A few months on that took me from 177lbs down to 135lbs, which is the weight I'm supposed to be at. Then the cost got too high for me to keep going, so I had to quit. Lately the pounds have been creeping back on bit by bit, and I'd like to give Ret a try. On top of that, the Sem left me with some hair shedding and my skin doesn't look as good as it used to, so once I've poked around a bit more I also want to add GHK-cu, NAD+ & MT1 alongside the Ret. My hope is that these can help with keeping my weight in check, improving my skin, and generally feeling better, more motivated and prettier, plus maybe they'll help with the inflammation and autoimmune conditions I deal with. I'm also looking into things for my ADHD/brain fog, because these days I feel like I can't hold onto information at all, which is a whole separate can of worms lol (I'm in my 30's* yet my memory feels more like 80's lol). Really, I just want to be the best version of myself, for me and for my kiddos.

Anywho, sorry for rambling on so long, but I'm truly excited to grow and learn here, and I hope to find some people I can talk to about all of this, since nobody around me gets it or even wants to hear about it. Can't wait to get to know everyone and hear your experiences, and if you're still reading, thank you!

Insurance really dropped you after just 1 month? That's brutal. I've come across folks mentioning that coverage lasts only a brief stretch, then it gets yanked away without warning. Probably figured we'd just cover the cost ourselves out of greed.

Hair loss had me concerned too — I realize it can happen naturally during a weight loss journey, but with my hypothyroidism, shedding is also a symptom. Even so, my ghk/ahk combo has been great. No extra shedding that I can tell so far, and my skin feels incredibly soft. Looking forward to digging into the topical serums for both as well.

Welcome aboard. Congratulations on what you’ve achieved for your health. I’ve been finding tons of useful material on this site for my own path. Best of luck with yours!

Yeah, when it comes to insurance, I figure it's purely a greed game. Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism are things I deal with too, so I get those struggles! Combining those is something I'll need to check into; I'm really hoping for some progress, and I'd love to hear an update on your skin! Starting it can't come soon enough—thanks for getting back to me!
