Hi everyone,
I'm a 37 year old woman living in the UK, so I'm really hoping there are others here from the UK who can point me in a helpful direction.
Weight has been a battle for as long as I can remember. The only time I've felt full is when I'm on the verge of bursting and it actually causes me pain. I'm constantly hungry. When I was 35 I finally got some answers: PCOS/PMOS, an underactive thyroid and insulin resistance.
Over the years I've given most approaches a go. I even went through having a gastric band, but it had to be taken out because it twisted so badly that I couldn't even keep water down.
More recently I spent 12 to 18 months on mounjaro. The food noise and hunger never completely disappeared, but it was far more manageable than anything I'd experienced before. I lost 6 stone.
Sadly, the price went up and I had to stop, and over the past 10 months I've regained half of what I lost because the hunger returned worse than ever. I've been looking into reta for a while now and feel like I'm nearly ready to take that step once I'm a bit more comfortable.
Any hints or tips for me starting this step would be appreciated.
