Hi all!

I began Tirzepatide in August 2025, and instead of sticking strictly to the usual schedule, I've invested a lot of effort into testing different doses and figuring out my own body's reactions. My starting point was below the standard initial amount, and I moved up gradually in tiny steps, keeping an eye on appetite suppression, energy levels, and unwanted effects.

Along the way, I've dabbled with a couple of add-ons such as NAD+ and sermorelin, just to observe their impact on recovery, sleep, and metabolism in general.

What I've come to realize is that there's no universal approach with these drugs. How much you take, how often, and how regularly appear to be far more important than simply escalating the dose. Learning about how the medication accumulates to stable concentrations in the body shifted my entire strategy.

I'm still in the process of learning and fine-tuning, but I'm eager to exchange insights and find out what has worked for everyone else.

Same same. Early into things, I switched to split dosing. My reason: bumping the dose up only left me feeling awful, and by day 5 the food noise came back.
I'm thinking about a schedule of dosing every 4-5 days. There's more I need to look into regarding receptor behavior. To give an example, my understanding is that receptors don't stay continuously activated even when tirz is present in the body. On top of that, saturation levels differ based on where the glp-1/gip receptor is located. A 2mg dose could be sufficient to quiet the food noise, yet it may have no effect at all on weight-loss or metabolic benefits.

Welcome aboard! Your way of thinking really stands out — approaching this as an experiment where you study your own reactions rather than copying some generic plan is exactly how most folks end up with the best outcomes.

You've hit on a point many overlook:

what counts isn't only the dose — it's the way that dose acts across time — how often you take it, how steady you are, and how it accumulates toward stable blood levels are all just as important (maybe even more so).

Beginning at a low amount and adjusting upward according to:

  • hunger management
  • energy levels
  • unwanted effects
is genuinely a far more maintainable approach to using these than forever escalating the numbers.

It's also neat that you've looked into NAD+ and sermorelin together — those tackle completely separate pathways (mitochondrial help versus the GH axis), so it's great that you're considering recovery and how everything functions, not merely shedding pounds.

You're going to get along great here — plenty of members are digging into these same fine details instead of just asking "what's your dosage."

Can't wait to learn what trends you've picked up on while fine-tuning everything. 🧬

The core of losing weight hasn't changed: consume fewer calories than you expend. Tirzepatide doesn't meaningfully change how your metabolism works. Even retatrutide boosts it by only 200-300 cal daily (and from what I recall, that figure came from a dose I'll never get to).
