Greetings from Arizona. I've been taking Mounjaro injections for 3 years now, ever since being diagnosed with type 2 — and I pay out of pocket because BCBS won't cover it.

I thought I'd join to offer my own perspective and experiences, and perhaps pick up on what new developments are on the horizon.

Before this, I spent six months on Ozempic (which BCBS did cover), but the acid reflux and sulfur burps became unbearable for me. My doctor was on board, so I went back to Mounjaro.

Weight when I started: 397

Weight now: 266

Welcome aboard! When it comes to dropping the weight, that is seriously impressive progress. Nice work!

In my view, that choice worked out well. 👍

Yep, paying $650 every month even with the Eli Lilly coupon really stings. . That's exactly why we moved over to Ozempic — my plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield of AZ (BCBSaz), picks up that 100% for people with Diabetes

So that's what brought me here: checking out how others are handling things and telling my own story.
