Hey all!

Curiosity brought me to this spot, and at this point I've fallen completely down the rabbit hole!

For more than a year I've been on compounded tirz, and the results have been good, though my clinic experience has left a lot to be desired. I thought there must be a better route, so I began searching and landed here. Wow! Pretty much every angle of GLP1s is covered with so much useful info, and it's clear I still have plenty to pick up!

Great to meet you all; every one of your posts has helped me so much! Looking forward to continuing to learn!

West Feliciana is where I was born and raised—Angola, to be exact. Glad to have you in the group. There's a ton of useful stuff and helpful folks here, but fair warning... you'll lose hours going through the threads and posts.

You've landed in a good spot, though like me you'll find plenty of areas locked off for now. Access to the full forum only comes after you've logged enough time here (which is exactly why I'm hanging around at this moment 😅)

With any luck you can get yourself away from that clinic.. Not every one of them is terrible, I'll give you that, but high 90% are just …..not great, to put it politely. Best of luck man.

Oh and one more thing, learn from my mistake and don't stretch this "probation" phase out for like 3-4 plus months lol

That's solid guidance. I've been slacking on visiting this place, but given the absurd costs and the sketchy ways clinics operate, I have to find out about alternatives.

Did you being cornbread and honey butter?
Nope, I didn't! That's partly why I'm here haha. Down here the food is just too tasty. Cajun dishes can pack on extra lbs even when you watch your portions. So once you're an adult and finally leave your parents' place, you realize you actually have to figure out how to make HEALTHY meals. The “greasy greens” aren't really vegetables in the real world 😭 lol

We're pretty close by! I bet you're familiar with how tough it is to stay healthy when Cajun food is around 😅

Representing Baton Rouge. I put in a lot of years in that area and quite a few relatives of mine remain there. My roots are in Grand Isle/Dville, though I've called Houston home for a long stretch.

Hey everyone! I'm a new member as well. I live a little north of New Orleans. Looking forward to going down this rabbit hole alongside all of you.

I'm in BR too! I've been getting my tirz from a well known clinic around here, and now I'm starting to feel like I'm getting fleeced.
A sizable crowd will always exist that chooses to pay what you'd call fleeced rates in exchange for greater peace of mind, yet anyone open to taking a somewhat bolder path stands to gain the rewards.

It really feels like this is where I belong now — my own little corner of the internet. And I'm in BR too! Never expected to run into folks from BR around here!

Pretty much every med spa and clinic out there is going to charge you way more than necessary, but I'm with Mr. B on this: if you put in the effort to research things yourself, you'll come out ahead — keeping a lot more money in your pocket and discovering other peptides that can make life better in ways beyond just this

Alright, here's a pretty intriguing follow-up. This past week I went to a different aesthetic clinic to get a quote, and the physician there is openly “prescribing” several of the other peptides that I've noticed other people using for “bio hacking.” According to him, some of these he's been prescribing for 20 years. So he shows me the list along with the price per vial for every option he recommends. Each one comes out to nearly $400 each month! But without meaning to, he got me curious about a few other peptides that I'm now considering for body recomp. There's still plenty of research I need to do on these other ones, but it was amusing to hear him discuss these peptides.

To be fair, he's a licensed MD and his entire clinic is literally focused on anti-aging, not only cosmetic stuff. I do feel like I picked up a few things from him.
