So where do I even start? About a few years ago, I did 6 months of semaglutide. It did the job — until my insurance company made it clear the cost was on me.

I'm in my mid-40s, and around 12 years back I lost both my drive and my direction. Exercise fell by the wayside, I quit paying attention to what I ate, and every pound I gained made me want to move even less. Same old story, right? It's been told a thousand times.

Still, I have an incredible wife who has stayed with me through this whole gradual unraveling, and we both deserve more than this. My goal is to lose 40–50 lbs. Some people at work sparked my interest in peptides, so for the past few months I've been reading and digging around quietly. Now I'm finally ready to jump in and get back to truly living and taking in the scenery of this great state I call home.

Welcome!

Best of luck on your path! Our aims line up pretty closely, though for myself I'm hoping to drop around 50-60 lbs. I'm here for the long haul!

Seems like you've got the right mindset. Falling from fully committed to "sleeping in feels soooo good, why not make it a daily thing" happens way too easily, and then those unwanted lumps & bumps start showing up on the body—all the more so because getting back on track can feel like an impossible climb. May that sense of control keep feeding itself, and may you reach the results you're after.
