Hi all! Finding this forum has been such a relief. There’s a lot I’m hoping to pick up from the folks here who’ve been around the block. Quick background: U.S.-based, female, mid 40’s. Oral Sema has been part of my routine for roughly 6 wks. The 1st month I was on the lowest dose, and these days I’m taking 4mg of the pill. So far roughly 8 lbs are gone, though muscle loss is on my mind. Reta keeps coming up in a positive light, and I’d like to dig deeper to figure out whether she’d suit me. Adderall has been my weight management tool for more than a decade, but eventually I’d like to stop it. I’m not that overweight, I just want to be healthy and look good. As the title says, this little fupa that mysteriously showed up a year ago has to go.

Welcome aboard! Good to hear Sema is producing some progress. No matter what compound you're using, you've got to hit your protein targets to protect lean mass, and you've got to do resistance training a few times each week. Compared with Sema and Tirz, Reta will mobilize fat more, but on any of the three you can starve yourself and lose muscle.

For everyone, proper nutrition and training are non-negotiable. If you're on a dose of any of them that leaves you unable to eat, that's the danger zone. Food noise should go down, but while in a deficit you should still be able to meet your base nutrition.

Wishing you the best on your journey!

I appreciate the kind greeting! You're right, getting adequate protein is definitely a struggle. My appetite has been low these past several days, and eating at a deficit has left me feeling quite drained. Still, I'm pushing through…I'll add some protein powder to my meal this evening and I'm heading to the gym tomorrow regardless.
