Hi everyone, I'm a 61-year-old woman and I'm really looking forward to hearing what you all have gone through with peptides. My semaglutide journey began roughly 3 years back, when I weighed 197lbs. Over 2 months, I dropped 5lbs. The side effects hit me hard though — digestive problems and feeling wiped out. So I made the switch to tirzepatide, and the weight started coming off fast. In 6 months I reached 150. Cost forced me to quit, though. A few months later, 10lbs had crept back on. Now I'm at 160 and stuck, it feels like nothing is moving. The only peptides I've experimented with are semaglutide, tirzepatide, and Retta. Retta came with strong praise, but for me it did absolutely nothing. My guess is the dosage wasn't right. Until lately, I had no idea other peptides even existed. What each one actually does in the body? I have no clue. That's exactly why finding this forum feels like a stroke of luck. No supplier order has been placed by me yet, but there's one I'm intending to buy from. My plan was to start with just tirzepatide, to test its purity. Before I buy anything else, I want to understand the other peptides better. On top of that, purity testing is a total mystery to me. I wouldn't even know how to begin. Labs? Costs? I'm completely in the dark. That's the reason I signed up here — to gain knowledge from all of you. So please bear with me if I seem clueless, because I'll likely have a ton of questions. I'm really eager to find out what you've all discovered.

I really urge you to do plenty of reading before you place any order — read, then keep reading, and then read even more. Jumping straight in feels tempting, yet spending time learning up front should help you sidestep many of those typical "growing pains" that newcomers run into.

Also, put the search function to good use! If your question is a basic one, odds are a thread covering it is already out there.

Best of luck!

Welcome aboard! Provided you can hold out a bit, well-known suppliers tend to run group tests quite often, which essentially lets you watch the process unfold and simply cover your share (or contribute a vial, or both). That route also costs less than going it alone. I've tried both approaches, and each comes with its own upsides and downsides. Going solo means you handle everything yourself (not too difficult if you dig into the info here), you're certain one of your own vials was the one tested, and turnaround is fairly quick, but running the 2 most common tests (mass & purity plus endotoxins) will set you back $400+. If instead you buy a kit from a well-known vendor (and a widely used compound, since tirz/reta see the most testing) that already has a group test underway, you skip the legwork and might pay only ~$15-40, though results take longer to arrive. With sufficient research and patience, whichever path you choose will probably pay off. Best of luck on your journey!
