Hi — a guy in his early 50s, currently working through my own wellness rebuild. Late last year the feeling of being old caught up with me; a med-spa-owning friend ran bloodwork and flagged 1) low testosterone and 2) low growth hormone. That's the moment the peptide road opened up. Mounjaro has been the prescription (insurance covers it), 10mg a week, and it's been 7 weeks of that. Results on the scale disappointed me — roughly 30 lbs off since late November, though 10 lbs of it is muscle gained — so 5 vials of Reta came from a supplier claiming to be reputable... too early to judge. Some days the thermogenic side shows up: slightly elevated pulse, a warm feeling. Word is reta handles targeted fat loss and muscle retention better. Training looks like 4-5x weekly with heavy loads, a lot of cardio (rowing, heated yoga for Zone2) plus HIIT. Paying for reta myself is what led me to search out this community, and I want to draw on what people here have already learned. The near-term target is another 30 lbs over 3-6 months, assuming these plateaus between the Mounjaro/Reta, my other peptides and TRT break at some point — I credit TRT for the muscle and the better fat loss. Any guidance and shared experience would be welcome!
