Hi all! My 1-year mark on Retatrutide is coming up. Down 65 pounds so far, though I'd still like to shed roughly 10% body fat — maybe around 20 pounds? The scale number isn't my main focus; recomposition is what matters most to me. For those who've dropped 50+ pounds on Reta, I'd love to hear how you handled the final stretch toward your goals.

Nice work hitting the 1-year point — dropping 65 lbs is no small thing.

The “finish line” stage you mentioned is where the game changes. From what most people experience, it stops being about forcing the scale lower and starts being about fine-tuning:

  • letting the pace of loss ease off
  • putting more emphasis on lifting
  • staying on top of protein intake
  • and managing calories with more care instead of relying entirely on reduced appetite
Many also hold at a smaller, consistent dose through this stretch rather than escalating it, so everything stays steady while chasing recomposition.

And you’re right — the number on the scale carries less weight here. Body fat %, waist measurements, and your own visual/feeling check-ins usually tell you more.

The toughest portion is already behind you. What’s left is mostly polishing, not grinding.

What’s been working best for you so far? Sounds like you’ve got a system that’s delivering 👍
