Hello GLPers.

Quick intro about me. 41'ish guy, and my war has always been with fasted glucose sitting at 100-115, no matter if dieting / exercising. Insulin resistance plays a part too and the fat piles on pretty much at the belly only. 2 or 3 years back a turbo cut ran for 4-5 months and a quite solid 4 pack was the result - yet this super stubborn lower belly fat refused to move. Then work stress arrived, the transition from cut to bulk got terribly f-d up, and 3 months wiped out the entire effort. Some metabolic syndrome and genetic predispositions to produce cholesterol also seem to be in play (exclusion dieting got tried - no effect on LDL whatsoever). The 2nd month on low dosage of R is now underway and damn, month one closed with fasted glucose at 91! Another test comes soon. Craving ultraprocessed crap, sugar or saturated fats - or combination of these - is finally over. Feeling as I'm owning my life again is where I am - control over what to eat when to eat is mine, where earlier on this like attacks hit - must eat something wafully bad, despite being overall disciplined (workouts). Comfort food most of all. Unfortunatelly, a job with no stress in it is hard to find.

Resistance training 3-4 times a week, plus fast walks to work when the weather allows - 45 minutes 5 km/h one way so it is something. Nothing much else in the way of cardio and the fat is really being used as a fuel. From 85 to 78 kg in 2 months. Naturally and without effort it can be done, of course, though the closer the 16-17% body fat range gets, the crazier my grelin goes.

Other stuff that simply may improve my health and quality of life is what I hope to learn a lot about here.
