I received an email notification about a new article from some lady and her AI ghostwriter, concerning the GYC vendor and an “alleged” impersonator (who also currently advertises here).

The GYC ads running here are the genuine ones, not a copycat operation.

Scams built on impersonation are disturbingly widespread, so buyers have to stay alert constantly to avoid them. The people behind these scams prey on those who don't know better, those rushing to buy, and those desperate enough to overlook the glaring warning signs.

Sadly the old saying holds: you can lead them to water, but drinking is another matter.

Countless threads here lay out the various scam patterns, along with proven methods for steering clear of them and confirming that the rep or company being contacted is genuine — sticking to contact details and links posted here among them. Nothing is 100% fool-proof, yet basic precautions often decide whether a purchase goes smoothly or you end up ripped off.

Among the earliest steps in avoiding a scam: SLOW DOWN. Take the time to learn and understand everything about making a purchase, and be extremely careful about where and how you get a vendor's contact information.

Hmm...the article didn't actually claim that. What it described was the site pointing to details about the genuine GYC on this forum as a way to appear trustworthy. No fault was assigned to this forum at all. This forum is among the few reliable places to find vendor information. Before implying something different, please make sure you're at least interpreting the article accurately.
