Hello all. I figured I'd share a bit about myself and the path that brought me here.

For much of my grown-up years, my body has not handled the standard "take this pill for that" model very well. Over time I've been prescribed many different medications while managing migraines, inflammation-type flares, chronic pain, nausea, energy swings, stress sensitivity, and hormone stuff. What I've come to understand is that my nervous system and metabolism seem... reactive. I can function, hold a job, exercise, get through daily life, yet feeling genuinely regulated has been rare for me.

Usually the meds meant to fix 1 issue bring side effects I'd rather avoid, and then doctors respond by layering on even more medication. That cycle has left me feeling pretty awful. Over the past year or so, I've gotten curious about the underlying mechanisms. My own conclusion is that chronic stress plays a huge role in my body. Not only psychologically, but also hormonally, immunologically, and metabolically... That curiosity led me down the rabbit holes (a favorite hobby of mine) of mitochondria, inflammation, nervous system regulation, and cellular signaling. That's how I got into peptides and back onto a glp. I want to understand the why. I want stability and to finally feel better and "normal" in my body.

Currently I'm roughly 4 weeks into reta at 1 mg and intend to titrate up to about 2.5 mg. I did use semaglutide before, but honestly I wasn't at a point where I could back the process with lifestyle changes, so I quit early. This time around, the aim is to go slower and with purpose. I've been increasing my physical activity and figuring out what helps and what doesn't before returning to a glp.

What brought me to this great community is that I've been reading heavily about mitochondrial support, inflammatory signaling, nervous system biology, and where peptides fit into all of that. I'm not here for wild stacks or quick fixes. I really just want to learn, exchange experiences, and figure out what genuinely helps a sensitive system settle down and grow stronger over time.

Happy to be here and learn from all of you

This is exactly the right attitude, and I'm here for it! Watching other people drop weight quickly can make patience really hard, but my own view is that going lower and slower, paired with better everyday habits, will matter most for lasting results and, with any luck in my case, eventually returning to a zero GLP state. Glad you've joined the forum! There's a wealth of helpful information and resources available here.
