This morning brought a completely new GLP‑1 surprise: superpowers I never signed up for.

Here’s the scene: I’m in my usual morning groove, right hand doing the responsible-adult thing with a toothbrush. Out of nowhere, an itch pops up on my right side. Easy fix—I swing my left hand around to get it… and blow right past the spot, like I’m aiming at a fly on some far-off continent.

Before I know it, that left hand is giving me a comforting pat square in the middle of my back, as if to say, “There, there buddy, you’re doing great.”

I’m fairly sure my arms didn’t sprout overnight, so the only explanation that makes sense is that my formerly barrel‑chested torso has slimmed down enough for me to wrap around myself like a human pretzel.

At this pace, come summer I’ll be scratching between my shoulder blades without even thinking about it. GLP‑1: come for the appetite control, stay for the unexpected flexibility upgrades.

Has anyone else been unlocking strange new body features lately?

No superpowers have shown up for me so far, though I’m beginning to wonder if my body is quietly running an update behind the scenes.

Should I ever wake up able to reach that spot between my shoulder blades without any struggle, I’ll take it as confirmation that the GLP-1 add-on has finished installing.

The scale isn't what throws me - I figure it'll inch downward gradually. What gets me are the little surprises: needing to stuff my heavy overshirt down into my waistband so my trousers stay put. Fair warning, TMI ahead - when I sit down on the toilet first thing, it feels like I could drop right in because my rear has gotten smaller. I've also had to layer t-shirts beneath an overshirt just to fill it out properly. Plus, you know, because it's cold. Or OR - you go to cross one leg over the other, and it just keeps sliding until it's resting on the opposite side, all elegant-like. (I'm a sturdy guy)

For me, the best GLP-1 superpower yet is watching a “Robust dude” figure out how to cross his legs like a fancy lady 😂

Yep! Both legs crossed while sitting in a lawn chair is something I can do now. Cross-legged, the way kids sit. It's been a long time since I was that flexible, and being comfortable in a space that tight is even more of a stretch.

With my right arm, I’d like to, but a Reverse Shoulder Replacement makes it impossible. 🤣

My left arm can do it, though.

Truly glad you’re hitting your weight-loss targets. Honestly, it’s pushing me to drop another 10lbs.
