First poke.....

Yesterday was great!

I still get hungry, but being hungry no longer turns into a binge-eating "hangry" state. A smaller serving is genuinely sufficient to make me feel full, and that's something I've never had happen before.

Drinking is very, very affected in my case. I managed two 12oz Yuengling lagers spread across 3-4hours. The taste is still fantastic, yet my body/stomach just wouldn't permit me to keep drinking.

Since there are no bad sides and people have said I didn't take enough, I'm thinking about adding another .5mg today so I'm at 1mg minimum for the remainder of the week.

Wishing you the best as you set off on this new path! Seems like we match up pretty closely when it comes to age, height, weight and the way we live, so I'll be keeping a close eye on how things go for you. I'm well aware there's a solid body hiding under all this extra bulk too 😂

Reta is on its way to me, so with any luck I'll be doing my very first jab sometime in the coming week. Still undecided on whether to begin at 1 or 2mg.

Best of luck 💪🏻

Yeah, it does sound like you could be what folks call a "cheap date" — you may never need to climb all the way to 12mg. Still, best to feel it out as you go.

I've run into a handful of people on (the lesser one, ha!) semaglutide who got incredible food-noise silencing right out of the gate at .25mg on that very first shot, only to watch it fade. After that they were stuck chasing the dragon, since the effect was merely temporary and never really came back the same way at such a low dose.

Okie doke, at a total of 1mg today, ret is behaving just the way I expected it to. Food noise is basically gone, and weirdly there haven't been any real negative side effects.

Things got hectic after breakfast at about 930am. I was so busy that I didn't even notice lunch had passed until I got back from the dog bathing place at 330pm. On the drive home I picked up chicken tenders and potato wedges, and after just 2 tenders and 3 wedges I was close to uncomfortably full.

I've seen plenty of reports of people feeling awful after fast food, so I avoided a big greasy burger. 😂. Sure glad I did, because there's no way I could have finished one.

This stuff is an absolute miracle. Strangely, I just logged the highest glucose reading I've had since I started monitoring. (About a month.). It went from 88 to 153, then back down to 96, all inside 1 hour. That's the most extreme peak swing I've ever seen.

For 20 years, my wife and I have avoided fast food. Starting in January, we've had nothing processed or frozen—everything fresh and prepared at home. When we go to restaurants, the only items we order are unbreaded chicken wings and salads.

The bulk of what I eat is made at home — that's especially true since I work from home and live out in the countryside, 15+ minutes from any town. And it's not a large town anyway, under 15k people. That said, today I picked up those tasty chicken tendies and wedges, and I was caught off guard by how small an amount I could get down.

Dinner followed a similar pattern — I left half the portion on the plate. On it were green beans, half of a small steak, half of a chicken breast, baby potatoes, and macaroni salad. I finished the green beans plus most of the meat and a couple of baby potatoes, then stopped. I attempted a beer alongside the meal and couldn't get through even half of it. Water, on the other hand, went down fine — 3 full glasses.

Up to this point, I'm really enjoying this stuff!!!

Today ended up being a bit more of a ride. Breakfast was nothing fancy — 2 eggs, a single slice of toast, and around 10 grapes — and that did the job. By about noon hunger showed up, so lunch was 1 boneless skinless grilled chicken breast plus green beans. After that I was so full it edged toward feeling sick.

Then between 5 and 5:15 a serious snack craving hit. Not actual starvation, but that overpowering sense that I absolutely had to put something in my mouth. To calm it down I had a 60g protein shake, peanut butter, and a string cheese. Since I began this stuff, that was genuinely the first time it's happened.

On the work side: no brain fog, no headache, no trouble finding words, no memory problems. Still loving it!

Excited to keep slowly titrating up toward 2mg, sooner rather than later!

Give me some of that. Pass it here.
