FDA Panel Recommends Peptides

Exciting to listen to the FDA committee today recommend approval for BPC-157, TB500, KPV, and Mots-C to be added to the 503 bulk drug substance list. Looks like this is headed in the right direction. This won’t change where I am sourcing my peptides from, but I would hope is the fda actually does approve this based on the recommendations that we could see more human trials for these peptides.

Is it realistic to expect to see more human trials if FDA approval is given?

Not going to happen on the human trials, not the fda's job. As for being approved they were already approved in the past until 2022.

Interesting, I didn’t know this. I understood in the past these medications were sometimes used but never fda approved and never officially placed on the 503.

I mean I guess I understand this. But at the same time, Tirzepatide is fda approved, and more than likely Reta will be sometime in 2027, their approval won’t stop me even for a second from taking them.

I’m curious how we should anticipate this will impact price and or availability for those of us who want to continue taking our chances on black/grey market?!

None, or maybe they get cheaper on grey if people switch to compounded. Competition lowers prices.
 
The comments from the committee are eye opening. The basic argument to a group of doctors to approve these was - well, people (us) are doing it anyway. This is American science in 2026?

Fda comments were not promising. Historically the fda has followed the votes of these panels, so it will be interesting to see what they decide.
