Cold hands and feet for women

I am not sure if this side effect has been talked about here, My sister started Reta 2 weeks ago and immediately the next day she told me her hands and feet were really cold,

I thought nothing about it, but is being a constant effect that she claims, it did not happen to me and I have not heard about it, could it be that for women due to general smaller size or something that this side effect appears?

I'm cold all the dang time 🥲 .. worth the outcome though. I was hoping it was a temp side effect but I'm 9m in and still cold all the time
 
It could be sensory symptoms from reta such as cold allodynia, I get it and it is definitely patchy and I cannot see any reason why it might not occur in hands and feet, but there would probably be some tingling or other odd sensations to go with it if it was the cause.

Next it increases sympathetic nervous system activity which is why some people notice increased heart rate, that is going to reduce peripheral blood flow and then cold hands and feet. Usually this gets better over time. This is the most likely cause

The other causes I would expect later, losing weight reduces fat which acts as insulation so you get colder, eating less, you make less heat so you get colder, and long term weight loss will reduce metabolic rate also making you colder.

Reynaud's phenomena could in theory be triggered by reta, but there would be obvious colour changes and pain and it would be intermittent.
 
Damn, I wish that would happen to my wife. She's always hot (not like that, well unless she tries). She's always been like this.
 
Yes I think is interesting that maybe affecting a side effect especially for women, my sister keeps mentioning it, not like something serious but a manageable effect that did not happen to me, even at a very low dose she is at .5 mg per week while I am on 3mg

you can get the small ones at many places, they work wonders. Or a small space heater under your desk aimed at feet 😉

I just want to share that I have circulatory issues for my hands and feet that resolved within the first day of taking tirz. My circulatory issues only appeared after a covid infection and cause my fingers and toes to feel like ice cubes. I also couldn't tolerate heat from a shower without feeling like I would fall over. Tirz has been helping so much.

I am not sure if there is a fundamental difference between reta and tirz OR if it comes down to genetics or some other factor, but that might be a breadcrumb for further research.

I am only taking .25mg or 250 mcg

I am a woman and in my 30s.

I didn't feel that on tirz alone, but really did notice it after adding Reta. But..That was in winter, and I had lost a lot of "insulation" already.. Now at my lowest level of insulation in years I'm totally chill..

I always heard cold hands means a warm heart.
