Anyone else monitoring blood ketones? I use a Keto Mojo to track my ketones and blood sugar. I've had it for a while now and rarely ever need to verify I'm in ketosis, but I've started tracking again to see what peptides might impact these numbers.
For starters, even when keeping my net carbs very low, my fasting ketones are generally not very (0.7-1 mmol/L). I was also experiencing significant dawn effect where my glucose would be highest first thing in the morning and taper off throughout the day.
Going to skip over a short stint with reta because that's another story.
Then I started Tirz at 5 mg/wk and got some predictable results. Slightly lowered BG and ketones 1.2-2.
Started SS-31 and then MOTS-C at a fairly low dose (5mg/wk each with the SS31 split over 7 doses and 3 doses for MOTS-C) and surprisingly my blood ketones shot up past 3 mmol/L for the first time since I've been measuring. Not sure if this is just a result of cells being more sensitive to glucose uptake or what it could be. Fasted glucose was still in the 70s-80s.
Either way, I'm feeling pretty good and will continue to monitor and see how things go.
