G’day all. 55M here, from Australia. Last year I did 8 months on Mounjaro and dropped roughly 17kg. I hadn’t reached my goal weight, and the price of pharmacy Mounjaro made me stop. After a few months off, about 5kg came back on. Then I found the grey market and restarted, this time with Reta, which costs a fraction. I’ve had a couple of smooth orders and now hold a solid stash of Reta and Tirz. After 4 months I’m at 8mg per week of Reta, but the weight is coming off very slowly. There are some sides—skin sensitivity, frequently feeling cold, a mildly raised heart rate—though nothing severe. In a couple more weeks I’ll step up to 10mg and hope the progress stays slow and steady. On 7.5mg of Mounjaro, food noise was blocked really well for me; on Reta that isn’t the case. I’ll stick with Reta for a few more months to see how it pans out. This site is fantastic and packed with info for anyone new to the grey market. Best of luck to everyone on their peptide journey!

What does Mounjaro cost at an Australian chemist? I am always keen to see how med pricing compares beyond the US.
From what I remember, the price began at roughly AUD$400 for the smaller dose, then climbed to AUD$700 once you get near 15mg. In USD that works out to about $300-$500. Each pen covers a single month. Honestly, that’s just far too costly! What are you all forking out where you live?

Price is identical: 299-499 USD. What's your take on moving to Reta?

I've only just begun Tirz, and I paid way too much for a bunch of vials (600 bucks, when from what I'm now seeing I could've paid 20 bucks). Older and wiser these days (3 weeks wiser, to be exact — hahahahah)

Hahaha… yeah, I wish I'd discovered the grey market sooner. Better late than never, though. Honestly, Tirz turned out to be the easier option for my weight loss. That caught me off guard, given how much hype Reta gets. I'm about to bump up to 10mg of Reta, and I'm hoping that'll change things. I've got mates on the same batch as me who are dropping massive amounts of weight on just 2mg. I've gone through 3 different batches and haven't noticed any real difference for myself. Maybe it's simply that I don't respond to it as well as other people do.

@Gordito - my situation is nearly identical - the pharmacy price for monjouro at a higher dose is insane. As I began Reta, I finished off my remaining monjouro at the minimum dose; for the initial 3 weeks I was taking 2.5 monjouro alongside 2mg Reta, and the weight was melting off. Once my monjouro supply ran out, weightloss has slowed (though it is still going down). I'm thinking about stacking again - I'm finding the food noise suppression on Reta isn't as strong.

8 months on Mounjaro at 12.5mg, and things had stalled out for me. I'd gone from 112kgs down to sitting between 98-100kgs, and that's where I stayed for several months. A few weeks back I made the jump to Reta.

My starting dose was 2mg, but the hunger and food cravings hit me hard — completely different from how I felt on Moun. Today I bumped it up to 5mg to see if that changes anything.

Has anyone else here moved from a high Mounjaro dose directly over to Reta? If so, what dose would you suggest? So far no side effects for me, other than constantly feeling a bit chilly.

My goal is to shed the remaining 8kgs and land at 90kgs. I went ahead and ordered some Cag too, since a mate recommended adding it to kill the food noise — but I'm open to any tips from those with more experience. Cheers

Thanks for the welcome, and that was a really interesting read. In the UK, Mounjaro is the weight loss medication that gets recommended most and is the easiest to get publicly — that’s the 1 I first looked into. That said, a number of my close friends have been using Reta and doing really well on it, with very steady weight loss. Because of that, I decided I needed to look into things more thoroughly on my own before settling on anything. I appreciate that you took the time to share what you’ve been through so far.
