I've gone this route on many occasions, and nothing has ever gone wrong.
In the beginning I went with PayPal, but the fees were too high and it kept running into problems.
How could Wise possibly tell that the money I'm sending is for Peps? The account I'm paying belongs to a regular Alipay user, and in the Wise payment reference I put descriptions such as for services or cosmetics. That said, I seldom send over 10,000 RMB in a single transfer.
