Tirz quit on me and Reta seems to boost my appetite — advice (or pizza 🍕) welcome

Right now I’m running Cagri alongside Tirz. At 5mg, the Tirz dose is still on the low side. You may have to titrate upward before you get stronger appetite suppression. While you wait, I’d put the emphasis on protein and foods that are lower in calories (I like to wilt spinach into an omelette).

Right, 5 mg is still on the low end, so the most sensible thing at this point is probably to stick with Tirz longer and move the dose up gradually.

Thanks for the tip, I do appreciate it! Truth is, at this stage eggs and spinach are something I can't even stand the sight of 🙈 Still, your point about prioritizing protein and lower calorie foods is a good one, so thank you!

Haha, thanks! You're absolutely right — being surrounded by incredible food in Italy is its own kind of torture when you're trying to get appetite suppression figured out! 🍕🍝

Hearing that 7 mg and 9 mg felt about the same for you is genuinely interesting. Dosing until I “hit the wall” is a tempting idea, lol.

Good to know YMMV really does apply this much here. Thanks for the insight and the laugh! 🫶
No worries at all!

Honestly, the Italian food where you are is probably far purer and more authentic than almost anything we get here in the states (or at least here in Wisconsin 😅😅).

Yeah, 9mg did work, and it might have given me that "full nudge" slightly sooner, but I've just stepped back down to 7mg... I had surgery, and that's when I tapered in the first place (I didn't stop, because f*ck that!...) but yeah, I do 3.5 mg x 2 times a week and I'm good.

I was never really big either (dropped 35lbs years ago with Cico), and my goal weight is at most like 15 pounds away... Unless you ask my mom... She's convinced I'm starving!! (Please don't tell my mom!!.. 🤣🤣).

Yeah, as I said, if you've got the means, you could simply "turn up the gas" until it hits like a sledgehammer, though that could backfire too.

Have a good one!

For many people, stacking cagri with tirz does the job. In my case, though, it drained my energy completely, so I rarely use it. Still, adding spinach to the omelette is a clever little trick.

5mg is a pretty low dose.

If nothing bad is happening to you, just move up faster; all the way to 15mg I wouldn't stress at all as long as you're feeling fine.

Keep in mind that 15mg is a safe amount even for frail elderly folks. So if you're in good shape, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Haha, I won't breathe a word of it to your mom — your secret's safe!

(Moms everywhere, right? They always assume we're wasting away!)

Congrats on getting so near your goal weight — being 15 lbs away is fantastic. And honestly, Wisconsin deserves more credit: you've got incredible comfort food and cheese that's world class!

(Of course, that makes suppressing appetite even tougher!)

Appreciate the tips, including the split dosing idea. I'm definitely not going to "turn up the gas" too quickly just yet. Have a great one too! 🫶

Thanks! The general safety of 15 mg doesn't really concern me — I'm aware it's a well-studied dose that's safe for most people.

What makes me cautious is my own history: early on I dealt with some fairly severe side effects, which suggests my body leans sensitive. So this time I'm titrating slowly and steadily to avoid those bad reactions coming back.

Still, I appreciate the input! 🫶

Haha, hold off on putting me in the Reta Hall of Shame for now! 😅 Honestly, I'm jealous of anyone who gets appetite suppression from Reta — at 0.8 mg I'm just sitting here hungry!

Good to know that split dosing can get you to 2 mg; that really does sound a lot more manageable. Thank you so much! 🫶
I'm currently taking 5 of tirz plus 1.5 of reta, and honestly I am never hungry at all.
