I chose to add MOTS-C while already taking Reta, and it left me flattened by intense fatigue for several days. Somewhere online I came across a suggestion to use SS31 ahead of the MOTS — the reasoning being that 31 is a repair peptide while MOTS is a mitochondrial optimization one — and the difference was remarkable.
These days I take them together, though it still makes sense in my head to do SS31 for a week or two before starting MOTS, just to tidy things up a bit beforehand. Your mileage may vary.
My cleanup protocol: 2mg of SS31 every day for 20 days.
On day 21 I brought in 2mg of MOTS on M/W/F and aligned the SS31 to that same schedule, still at 2mg. They combine without issue, which means one less needle.
No sudden surge of energy or anything like that, but my workouts became noticeably easier and I could push harder. Recovery stayed roughly the same.
For reference, here is the rest of what I run:
6mg Reta (Saturday)
1mg Tirz (to cut food noise, Tuesday)
2mg each SS31/MOTS - M/W/F
50mg NAD+ M/W/F
0.5mg each BPC157/TB500 daily
I did see a clear lift in overall energy after adding the NAD+, so that one is staying. The BPC/TB is for an ongoing shoulder strain that has mostly healed by now. I haven't decided how long I'll keep that one going.
I've never tried Tesa, but I did experiment with CJC/IPA for a stretch until an allergic reaction started developing, so I stopped it before it could escalate into full anaphylaxis. I suppose I'm one of the "lucky" ones with that compound.
