Hey all! I've been reading along since August but this is my first time posting! Since starting Reta in July I've dropped 40lbs (yes, really! 🤯 174-134lbs. ) I'm hoping to pick up some knowledge here about testing—specifically which US labs are the best to use. Excited to be joining the community. 😊

Hello and welcome! I haven't looked into testing much on here yet, but I'm sure threads on the subject exist. It feels like there's a thread for just about anything!

Hey everyone! Thanks for making me feel welcome! I've already found so much useful information here!

Hi everyone! I've already put up an intro post as well!

I'm eager to find out more about testing too

Glad to have you, and well done on such an impressive milestone! I think the forum has a few threads or areas covering testing. Best of luck!

I realize your question was directed at the OP, but I've been on Reta since July as well and have lost 28lbs.

Since it was my first time using it, I began at a very low dose of .5mg and added another .5mg every two weeks, working up to 2.5mg and staying at that level.

It appeared to work really well!

That said, I also dialed in my macros and made it to the gym around 5 times per week, so that certainly contributed

A lot of people stick with the dosing used in clinical trials. That said, others choose to start from very small amounts — 250mcg or 500mcg — and work their way up to 10mgs or more, depending on how they respond and what side effects they get. One thing Reta is known for is raising heart rate, which is part of why it's technically more effective at fat burning than other GLPs; still, that comes with risks, particularly when buying from grey market suppliers.

When I was starting out, I found a lot of useful guidance on this forum and elsewhere online about beginning Reta safely.

My titration was a little out of the ordinary, I'd say. I began at .5mg, went to 2 after a week, then 3mg the following week, and after that raised it by .5 mg weekly until I topped out at 6. At 6 my appetite was wiped out. I hit a bit of a stall once I reached 5mg, losing only about 1 lb over 14 days, and 6 appeared to get things moving again. Unless something changes, I don't intend to go above 6mg. At 6mg I had some anhedonia, which was rather unpleasant. I'm fairly near my goal.
