Couples who pep together.

When I finally told my husband I was interested in starting tirz, I was genuinely nervous about how he'd take it. His answer? "I want some too!" That's been his reaction to every peptide I've mentioned wanting to try.
I had pictured a similar reaction.

When I mentioned to my wife that I was considering starting reta, she had no clue what it was. I had a few YouTube videos playing while she was nearby. A few hours afterward, she said she was glad I'd made that choice, and that it showed personal growth on my part not to put my trust in the fda. God, I love her.

Let her take some time to get used to it. She might simply need a while to think it over before she responds to you.

My husband is the only one I've shared this with, and I feel really lucky that he knows and backs me on it. I'm also grateful for communities like this one, where I can sound off while staying fairly anonymous. 😅

I began in Feb '25. Come September, my husband wondered aloud whether he could give my golden dose a go. Since then he's dropped roughly 80lb on 2.5mg weekly.

I switched to gray for two reasons: 15mg tirz had become too costly, and the golden dose was discontinued, so I had no way to keep supplying my husband with it.

After that I added reta, cagri (weight loss) and ss-31 (for fatigue from ME/CFS). I researched heavily what peps exist, which ones have medical studies behind them and which lean a bit snake oily, and learned that Wolverine has been shown to help with a problem my husband has dealt with for years. He was willing to give it a try, and these days he takes it daily and doesn't need a knee brace anymore.

So for us, my husband was genuinely supportive, watched my progress, and was open to starting peps himself.

Make it clear to her that this isn't about wanting her to change or look different for your sake — the only reason is that you believe she'd feel happier and more confident in herself. That said, we [women] tend to doubt it whenever we're feeling insecure.

Just be sure you only say that if you genuinely mean it. If not, that would be manipulation of a whole other level.

I believe she'll eventually be on board. My wife isn't overweight, but she was looking to drop 10 lbs. without misery. Once she watched me shed 60 lbs. in about 6 months on compounded Tirz, she recognized it genuinely works. Her starting dose was low (1.5 mg). What probably helped was that it came from a US-based compounding pharmacy — a 10mg vial with a colorful label — rather than an unlabeled 3 mL vial inside a crinkled bubble-wrapped parcel smelling of five spice powder (fine, I invented the five spice powder bit, but you catch my drift).

I never force the topic. Roughly every 10 days, when she starts feeling "snacky," she comes to me. Our compounded supply ran out long ago, and she's grown comfortable with the Chinese version. I only inject her from a vial I've already used on myself several days before, and I always make sure she's aware of that.

It also helps to point out that GLP-1s offer plenty of health benefits that go beyond weight loss.

My wife works as a MLS (Medical Lab Scientist), and the two of us are on Reta together. The one thing that worries her is the possibility of me going overboard — I do have impulsive tendencies, though they're improving.

Having a conversation about the usage is probably worthwhile??? Opinions will vary from person to person, but there needs to be communication.

My suggestion is that you and your partner take a walk and talk openly. A walk is the best moment for a talk.

Peptides that have been around longer would cost more.

My mom pushed for it, so my husband and I began reta on the very same day. Since then I've tried other things, though he has no desire to add anything beyond that.

Once I described to her how great I feel, this was basically the route I took. Reta has put a stop to whatever anxiety I used to carry. My stress levels are lower than they have ever been. And there is more I could name. Thanks.

It could be that she comes around eventually — just let her have some time to think it over.
That is what I am hoping for. I will steer clear of the topic for a good while. Thank you!

It seems strange and worrying to me that people hide things from their partners. That just doesn't strike me as a healthy relationship.

Before I began, I talked it over with my wife. She's a nurse, and she wasn't pleased about me going grey market, but once she saw my results she started taking KPV for her inflammation (she's already on prescribed tirz.)
I'm married and I love my husband, and the two of us are legally tied to one another — but I remain an individual, and I believe privacy matters in a relationship. Marriages take all kinds of shapes and some succeed while others don't… there's no reason to worry just because it isn't the kind of marriage you'd choose!

Whenever my husband mentions a problem (anxiety, pain, etc.), I let him know there's a peptide for that and that he's free to give it a try. He turns it down every time, though, since he can't stand needles. He's his own person and he's aware that help is available whenever he wants it. No pressure.

I informed him when I began tirz through telehealths and compounding pharmacies. He may realize I'm no longer using them, given that the boxes arriving have become much smaller and I now spend my time labeling vials — but packages from China have been coming to our home for our entire marriage. (Why pay a middleman for anything? I can wait 6 weeks! I get all sorts of things from there, from crafting supplies to my wedding dress!). It wouldn't shock him that I tracked down a better price! And he knows about the forum, my forum friends and how obsessed I am with peptides.

Peptides for him are like fishing for me: I don't really care as long as he's having fun and is reasonably safe. (And yes, he's gotten hurt a LOT whilst fishing … whereas I just keep getting healthier & better!)

I was the one who began using peps initially; he didn't show much interest. I decided to look into peps that might address his joint problems, so I picked up a kit of Wolverine and then walked him through everything I'd found. Whether to try it, and when, was entirely his call. He gave it a go, and for him the change was significant. These days we do our research side by side, sharing what we learn about various peps and talking over whether they're worth trying.

We'd discussed it earlier, but my doctor wants around $300 per person every month. Then she caught a news segment featuring a guy being interviewed. According to him, he was buying it directly from China on the cheap. The piece was clearly meant to be a frightening warning about how risky that is. It backfired completely LOL
That is pretty much the exact path that brought me here 😂
