Reta-induced insomnia — how long does it last?

I guess I'm the outlier here. Reta actually helps me sleep. Lately my sleep has been really good, and I'm getting up fewer times during the night to use the bathroom. Falling asleep can be tough some nights, but after that I sleep soundly.

Has it crossed anyone's mind that reta might actually be boosting sleep quality, so you need less time in bed? Stay optimistic, otherwise nocebo effects can creep in, haha.

Carbs saving the day once again:

For me, eating didn't change anything. 480mg of Mag Gly, 3g Taurine and 5g Glycine didn't help much. Early on, glycine did produce a bit of a sensation — as though something heavy and calming were draped over my nervous system.

What has helped is IR/XR Melatonin.

Carbs at 3 AM also help me start the day feeling fresh. In most cases, sleep is something tirz users need — people who don't crave spiritual, early-morning experiences.

Reta has disrupted my sleep as well. My resting heart rate climbed by 12-14 pbm, even though I'm only on 1.2 mg weekly (or 0.5 every three days). I can get to sleep, but then I wake somewhere between 3 and 5 a.m., and the numbers on my sleep tracker look bad — HRV and REM especially, plus the higher HR. I'll give the honey suggestion a try, thanks for sharing it. I'll also watch for Elora, since it's supposed to bring HR down. Fingers crossed that once my HR drops, sleep goes back to normal the way it did in the trials.

Most nights I actually sleep fairly well. I'm in week 4 of Reta. About an hour before bed, I take 1 x Promethazine hydrochloride.

In the beginning, sleeping on reta was harder for me. At 10 weeks in now, it seems to have improved.

Magnesium glycinate has been helpful for me, though the results aren't steady. I still have occasional trouble on pin nights and the night after.
