Lady J - what's your target amount of weight to shed? I'm 100% with you on the new wardrobe! Here in Los Angeles it just dipped under 72 degrees, so out came my treasured DULUTH double-lined cargo jeans from last year - no way am I freezing. I pulled them up, zipped them, and down they went. My feelings are VERY conflicted...
This morning the scale showed 164. Given my height of 5'6, the metrics suggest dropping ten lbs would put me in the "normal" range. Honestly, at this point I'm not bothered either way and 164 would suit me fine. I won't claim to be big boned, though my rib cage is unusually large (which helps a lot with singing), and I carry a decent amount of muscle. Still, what's the harm in shedding a little more before switching to maintenance? Especially since I'm in perimenopause, my plan is to go for those ten pounds while also ramping up the resistance and strength training that used to be part of my everyday routine, but has largely fallen away in recent years, since I'm no longer working as a professional horse person. And as I've mentioned several times lately, the glps make weight loss feel achievable and sustainable at the same time.
