Hi everyone,

Queensland, Australia is where I'm based, and for the last couple of years I've been working on losing weight.

Early 2024 was when I began, sitting at roughly 155 kg, and the lowest I reached was about 124 kg. Ozempic was part of that stretch for me, and I found it worked especially well for keeping my appetite in check and quieting food noise.

Around late July this year I came off Ozempic, and sadly the food noise came back quite strongly. Over the past couple of months I've put back on about 7 kg, which has been frustrating given how far I'd come. The reason I had to stop is that I was using a script off a family member who has now devided to use it themselves. Since I don't have diabetes, I can't get my own script. I realise the Wegovy/Mounjaro route is an option, but given the cost I figured I'd look into what else is available.

Lately I've taken an interest in Retatrutide and the newer research coming out on GLP-1 treatments. I've been going through clinical trial results and trying to get a clearer grasp of how these medications differ, especially when it comes to effectiveness, side effects and longer-term outcomes.

Strength training matters to me too, and so does holding onto muscle mass while dropping weight, instead of just chasing a lower number on the scales.

Glad to be here, keen to learn from everyone's experiences, chip in where I can, and hopefully get my own goals back on track.

Cheers!

Hello - I'm in much the same boat. I gave Ozempic a go in the past. Getting a prescription is difficult these days. Wegovy/Mounjaro costs a lot. Retatrutide has caught my interest.
