Hi all!

I'm completely new here at GLP1Chat, though my time on GLPs stretches back roughly 3 years. I'm a 50yo perimenopausal woman, working hard to hold onto muscle while steering my weight back to a healthy range.

Ozempic was where I began, then I moved over to a compounded semaglutide. Roughly 30 lbs came off, and then things stalled out while I was at the maximum doses.

At some point I switched to compounded tirzepetide, and that's where the scale started cooperating again — another 25 lbs came off, until I hit a stall at the 12mg/weekly dose. The side effects at 15mg were more than I could handle.

Lately I've been looking into Reta as a way to deal with the final 10-15 lbs.

These meds mean so much to me! Honestly, I'm in the best physical shape I've ever been in, even though there's still a bit to go before I reach my 'healthy goal' BMI.

Welcome @WNCLabRat . 40lbs is what I've dropped while on reta, and I believe you're headed the right way toward those last 15 lbs. Have a good time here on the forum, and I hope your journey turns out great.👍

I followed the same path, and in the end I used Reta — it worked well in my case!

Appreciate the encouragement! I'm here to pick up as much as I can.

Same here — 4.5 years on glp's. semi was my starting point, then tirz, which worked well, but those final 15-20lbs just won't come off. I can't handle tirz above 10mg, so next week I begin my reta journey. Fingers crossed it gets me there. Wishing you luck too!
