Hello, I'm a 50-year-old man living in Washington state. Eating and drinking — alcohol included — have never been something I could stay consistent with. My goals are to drop some weight, work toward getting lean while keeping as much muscle as I can, and cut back on certain cravings. After doing plenty of research, I'm beginning Reta next week, and the possible side effects have me pretty anxious. I intend to ease in gradually and raise the dose with care. Also, needles are really not my thing 😂 so at least I'll get some exposure therapy out of it.

In any case, this looks like a fantastic forum and I'm glad to be part of it. I'm picking up a great deal.

Reta has made a big difference in what I crave. I used to have several beers each week, and at this point I'm fairly certain the beer sitting in my refrigerator should just be thrown out, since chances are I'll never touch it. Video games are gone from my routine too — reading the peptide forum has taken their place.

Consistency with food has been a challenge for me too. I'm only just beginning to explore peptides, and my hope is that they'll serve as a tool to help me cut back on some poor habits.

Hearing that is fantastic, and I've come across the same kind of stories repeatedly, particularly where alcohol is involved. On top of that, I'm aware that a great deal of research is underway at the moment concerning various addictions and similar things. The video game angle is intriguing too; I'd guess it comes down to the same dopamine-driven triggers. Anhedonia does worry me somewhat, all the more so given that my libido is fairly intact for someone my age. Appreciate you sharing this!
