Has anyone noticed a difference in results between taking it orally versus subcutaneously? I plan to stack it with NAD and am trying to figure out which method is the better choice.

I've come across personal reports that argue for each method and against each method. On top of that, the mg amounts people use differ a lot.

To me, that makes the two options look equal, which might point more toward a placebo effect than a real one.

I've got a kit on the way that includes 500mg vials (fingers crossed it actually shows up someday 😳 )...planning to give it a solid try and find out what effect it has....👍

If I were to pick based on what those rodent studies show, my own choice would lean toward 10+ mg given subcutaneously, since that combination seems to work together.

So far, the biggest vials I've come across are 50 mg. Where did you get 500 mg vials from? Or do you mean the total for the whole kit?

A kit containing 500mg vials is also on its way to me, arriving in a few months. I got mine through a big GB. Can't wait to find out how it works for me — the feedback I've come across has been all over the place. Then again, every peptide seems to get mixed reviews!

Also in on that same GB.... 👍

I came across what seemed like a solid price for 50mg capsules (if they turn out to be real). We'll find out how it works. My main goal is a bit more energy in the middle of the day while I'm on Tirz. SS-31 and MOTS-C have both been useful, though Mots gives me a strong lift on the days I inject and then I feel somewhat worn out on the days in between. Since my job demands a lot of mental effort, anything that could ease brain fog would be a big bonus too.

The 5-amino capsules are working out well so far. At 50mg daily, I barely felt anything change, yet 100mg appears to hit the right mark. My routine is 1mg SS-31 plus 50mg 5A1MQ in the morning, then a second 50mg capsule near midday (along with 5mg tirz every week). I seem to have more energy, clearer thinking, and no afternoon slump.

Ketones in my blood came back a touch above my usual baseline (~2 compared with 1.3 normally). Since I began, I've dropped a little weight (3.5 lb across 2 weeks), though I should point out that I had been in a small "mini-stall" — my weight held steady, even crept up slightly, for a brief stretch despite a reasonable calorie deficit. So a fair amount of that drop is probably just stubborn water retention.

The only thing I've noticed is mild GI upset. Most days I do OMAD, which means I never get to take it alongside food — something I've heard can lessen this and boost absorption (no idea if that's accurate). To be honest, it hasn't really been an issue for me, because the tirz slows me down more than I'd like. MAYBE falling asleep at night is a little tougher, but that might just be how I am.

I'll keep the split dose going for another week or two, then reassess. I might experiment for a few weeks with 50mg 5A1MQ, 1mg SS-31, and a low dose of MOTS-C. My hope is that there's enough synergy to make lower amounts of each work better and more efficiently than higher amounts on their own. The sub-q option also interests me, given how pricey the capsules are by comparison.

That's exactly the way to go about it!

Appreciate the update on this. I just found a solid price on oral 5am, so I'll likely hold onto it for later. When it comes to blood work, which specific biomarkers do you check to assess these mitochondrial peptides?

Nothing unusual has come up as far as I can tell. Before long I'll have a metabolic panel, cholesterol, and so on done. That said, at the moment I'm running so many things that judging the effectiveness of any 1 compound is beyond me.

What I can genuinely evaluate is limited to metabolic effects and, up to a point, fat metabolism, which I track through routine blood glucose and ketone testing.

Took 80mg by mouth daily for 4 weeks, and to be honest, I haven't noticed or observed any changes. From what I gather, 5amino probably won't have much effect on you unless you're carrying extra weight.

Right, that tracks. It's also part of why 5am hasn't made it to market as a pharmaceutical.

I injected 1mg for 3 weeks straight. The whole time I felt wiped out and kept waking up throughout the night. Once I quit, those problems disappeared. Wondering whether others have gone through the same thing?
