Way too many bottles in the cabinet - how do you trim a stack down?

Help! The pile of supplements I'm on has gotten completely out of hand. Right now the subq side is Klow, Reta, NAD, 5 amino 1Mq and AOD.

On top of that there's a whole mountain of oral stuff, which is also spiralling and needs to come way down. The orals are whey protein, Omega 3, glucosamine, magnesium, glycine and. NAC, collagen peptides, BCAAs and creatine.

The Reta makes me feel like my micro nutrients are short, and I'm trying to swallow pills until that's fixed. Any suggestions for trimming it back? At this point being a crack head would have worked out cheaper.
For micronutrients, I'd trade the BCAA for a multi instead. Sorry in advance for the unpopular take, but most of the peptides could go — reta aside. A lot of it is hope plus a strong placebo… though I'm hardly an authority… and frankly nobody else here is either. Whatever you land on, good luck 👍🙂

Yeah, I'm probably hunting in the wrong place entirely. Everybody on this forum is a peptide and supplement obsessive (me included). 🤣

Your claim is that every single one was added for a purpose that's still valid. What argument could we even make against that?
Fair point. Proving those "needs" are real would mean paying for a broad panel of markers that insurance normally won't touch. I haven't looked into pricing yet, but it's on my list.

Glucosamine is just money down the toilet.

And what's the thinking behind the NAC, creatine and BCAA?

The glucosamine came in after ACL surgery wrecked my knee, and because age plus HIIT sessions leave me creaky. You might well be right that it's pointless. It's been a mainstay for me for years — a very long stretch.

The NAC goes in alongside glycine so my body can manufacture more glutathione, which is what I want the antioxidant effects for. Detox. Liver support and so on.

Creatine I use for protein synthesis, given how much protein I supplement and my goal of adding muscle through lifting 3-5 times each week.

The BCAAs are mainly for the electrolytes in them, though I also hope they help with protein synthesis and building muscle.

For Labcorp orders, my source is www.fitomicslabs.com . While I'm in the adjustment phase — fine-tuning TRT and watching weight come down — I get a different panel run nearly every month.

Excessive? If anything I'd wonder whether you're underdoing it. Those beginner-level figures need pushing higher.

Yep, another 9000 or so and he's set. Melamine gets my vote — word is it brings nitrogen along.

Since you're asking, my survivors would be the whey, omega-3, magnesium, glycine and creatine — everything else gets cut.

Mind you, my own daily count of oral supps sits near 20, so swallowing pills isn't something I object to, as long as what's in them helps and does no harm.

In my view the total isn't excessive, provided every item earns its place. My own routine currently has 7 peptides, roughly 10 vitamins and other supps — fiber powder, creatine powder and a greens concentrate among them. Probiotic yogurt and konjac jelly are in there too. Once you're into bodybuilding or general wellness, a long list like this is pretty normal.

And obviously Brawndo belongs on the list — electrolytes, after all!

The reasoning makes sense, though my own approach would be glutathione straight up instead of feeding it precursors. To me the difference is far more obvious that route.

Blends of BCAA plus electrolytes tend to cost more than what you actually get from them. As far as muscle protein synthesis goes, whey is already on your list and ideally real food is adding more protein on top. Genuine muscle gain comes down to resistance training that's progressive and done consistently — that part no powder is going to hand you.

Alright, I'm less worried now that I was overdoing it, so I figure I'll go ahead. Appreciate the feedback, though none of you are doing my wallet any favors 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Could just be getting older. At 50 now, I've never felt like I needed this many peptides, supplements and extra protein. I'm not resisting it — I'm going all in on longevity, paying attention to my wellness, and getting leaner while adding muscle. Being skinny fat is something nobody wants, yet it shows up way too often with these GLPs.

That's funny. By myself, I down that many pills before noon. No B complex at all? What about zinc? Boron? Glycine? Taurine? TMG?

Come on, whey protein doesn't count as a supplement 🤣 That's just food. Sure, guess I'll go take my mozzarella supplement then.

Alongside the half dozen peppers, 10 pill supplements is what I'm on right now. Berberine and CoQ10 look like the ones to drop, which brings it to 8.

Magnesium Glycinate, Nattokinase, Omega 3, Probiotic, B Complex, D, Selenium, and Zinc will remain.
Cutting CoQ10, of all things — why 🤣

Also, instead of taking selenium on its own, I'd get it from a trace mineral complex that includes boron.

Enough with the BCAA bashing already! For those past 60, additional leucine really matters. Sure, for average people who aren't cutting calories and already get sufficient protein (athletes), it likely does nothing. Yet for those of us shuffling toward the graveyard, particularly while on tirzepatide, it's worth its weight in gold.

While I train, I down 1.5 liter of water with Liquid IV (1 packet), 8-10 grams of BCAA plus 5 grams of creatine. It makes a big difference across 2 hour of lifting!

BCAAs aren't part of my routine, but EAAs get consumed daily on my end.

Just kidding — technically I am natural, since AAS, testosterone, and SARMS haven't made it into my routine...so far...
