Hello from Australia!

I just hit 25. Yeah, I'm getting close to unc status, as my mates enjoy pointing out. For as long as I can remember, food has been a battle and I've carried extra weight. As a kid, I got picked on for it and missed out on a lot because of it. I could go on and on, but honestly that whole period wrecked—and keeps wrecking—a big chunk of my life.

By my late teens I'd managed to drop a good amount and got really into lifting. Even so, I stayed far from lean and never left the overweight bracket. Over the years, most of that progress crept back until I landed at about 115kg. I'd say I know my way around a barbell (it's one of the few things that brings me joy) and I understand how to diet, but sticking to it is a massive struggle.

Lately I've started tackling this and had some luck using Lyle McDonald's Protein-sparing modified fast protocol in short stretches, getting down to roughly 107kg. It's no walk in the park, and Lyle's newer book, the GLP-1 solution, where he covers GLP-1 use, plus all the online chatter, has me seriously thinking about Tirz or Reta.

The main reason I'm here is to learn—specifically how not to screw myself over. There have been plenty of reports in Australia about dodgy products causing serious harm or even death, so I want to steer clear of that. On top of that, I've never bought anything illicit, so I'm clueless about the grey market or how to inject safely.

What else is driving me, even if you didn't ask? In short:

  • Health
  • Family (I want to make my grandma proud before she passes away)
  • Happiness
  • Advancing my career
  • Sexual relations with attractive women (or sex in general... it's been a while)

I wouldn't call myself a looksmaxxer at all—plenty of things matter more—but it's hard to deny that slimmer folks often have an easier time with all of the above. I could say more, but I'm sure most of you get it.

That's my intro done.

Ps. I swear brainrot has only partially sunk its claws into me.

About 4 weeks in on Reta, and the food noise is somewhat quieter. It's not gone completely, but it has stopped me from overeating and made me more aware of my choices. I've lost 15lbs in that period. Since I'm not overweight and only aiming to improve my health, I began at a fairly low dose and intend to keep it there — all in all, for me personally, it's been a clear win.

I appreciate you sharing that. At first Reta was my clear pick, but after looking into it more, Tirz is starting to seem like the better fit for me, mainly because it appears to do a stronger job of quieting food noise, which matters more when following something like a PSMF. On top of that, from what I've come across, it's supposedly simpler to keep stored, comes with fewer side effects, and is a safer bet to order.

Right now my main focus is picking up a bunch of the extra gear, like a minifridge I can stash in my closet, and once everything arrives I'll stop dragging my feet and put in an order for either Tirz or Reta.

Nice work, close to 7kg within 4 weeks is really impressive.

I'm in the same situation - trying to figure out whether Tirz or Reta is the better pick. I'll feel settled on one, then I end up deep in yet another rabbit hole. And once I began looking into what people add on top of it, my head just turned to mush.

You've got 20 years less on you than I do - it's great that you're treating this as a priority at this stage. Looking back at my 20's, all I managed to do was work too much, eat too much, and drink too much.

Personally, I'm on team reta. It doesn't completely silence food noise, but when I do give in, the urge disappears fast. Say I'm wanting a coke—I'll take 2 sips and that feeling is gone. That said, my diet is locked in as well

Just wondering, have side effects been a big issue for you?

Yep, a bit of nausea, mostly right after waking, though it passes fast. That said, my dose is low—3mg every 6 days. Currently

Losing roughly 2# weekly while sticking to a good diet

That matches my experience. I began reta not long ago, and my thoughts about food have decreased compared to before; I don't get that deep hunger like I once did. Eating is still something I like, yet stopping is simple for me at this point—there's no longer any urge to overeat or clean the plate.

For the first week I took 1mg as a split dose, nervous about possible side effects, but I experienced none. Since then I've been dosing 2mg every 6 days. So far, no side effects at all. My intention is to remain on the smallest dose that works.

Reta is here — take it and don't hesitate for a moment.

You mentioned being 25 and carrying extra weight your whole life.

That's my story too, except I'm past 50.

What you have is a real chance to avoid throwing away 25 years the way I did!

For 12 years straight, my weight has been an issue, and I'm ready to do something about it. After going through everyone's comments, my resolve to explore Reta has only grown stronger.

I'm genuinely thrilled for what's ahead of you. The effects peptides can have will probably leave you amazed. That said, don't lean on peptides alone — put in ALL of the effort. Eating right and getting to the gym are non-negotiables as well. When you commit to every piece of it, the pounds will drop week after week. It's amazing.

I'm 40 and dealing with the exact same situation. Looking back, I really should have prioritized losing weight when I was 25 lol. Good for you for starting to make a change at this point. As you get older, it just becomes more difficult.

I wish I were 25 and had this option back then. Reta works incredibly well; dropping pounds has never been this effortless for me. The constant thoughts about food are gone. I figure Tirz would produce the same result. Simply begin at a low dose and pay attention to what your body tells you. Weigh yourself every week, then raise your dose once cravings become too strong or the scale stops moving. Going too high on the dose will bring on side effects. Additionally, add in some physical activity such as running or cycling to shed weight more quickly and help your skin stay firm.
