Hello!

For years my weight was a battle. Then a coworker introduced me to the world of peptides. My first step was seeing a physician, who ordered a full panel of labs and sat down with me to go over the results. That conversation pushed me to reveal struggles I had never wanted to voice. Together we picked apart my diet, my inactivity, and the mental health factors behind it all, as if under a magnifying glass. And yet, after all that scrutiny, here I am, telling the world about it.

My starting point was Tirzepetide, then I moved to Retatrutide, and not long ago I introduced Mot-C, all through my physician's supplier, U.S. RETAIL.

Once I saw what this new habit costs, stacked on top of what it takes to live in Los Angeles with my small soccer-team-sized family, I went deep into the grey market.

I read and watched everything I could find, obsessing over peptide trial wins and peptide purchase losses, until I finally placed a grey order.

Now the question is how I will cover the cost of testing what I just bought! Maybe I am still digging, maybe I will find gold, or maybe I will drop into a deep abyss. We will see together!

So glad to have found a community that shares its research and experience!

The pull to dig into the research and chase better results is something I get completely. That's not a path I've taken myself, though from what I gather, when several buyers order one lot of peptides from a single vendor, they'll set up a "group testing" arrangement and divide the cost of testing that lot. If that sounds like something you'd want, it may be worth checking out.

Hi, welcome!

I've personally been on tirz for a while now and it's worked really well for me, though here in Australia reta isn't something we can get prescribed legally yet.

What's your own experience with reta been like, both for weight loss and for side effects? And in LA, does reta end up costing more than tirz?

Hi Mallow!

My first step was tirzepatide through a physician who worked online and was tied to a compounding pharmacy. I went into it without much thought, and over 3 months the cost worked out to roughly 260 per month. There was no real doctor access and no customer service at all. To stop the autopay, I ended up having to cancel my card.

When I changed to a licensed practitioner, the price was close to the same, but this time it covered a consultation, full labs, and the medication. That gave me a baseline picture of my health, and my practitioner explained each step and remains reachable whenever I need her.

Because of how I got the medication in each case, the two came out roughly equal.

Route 1 - Online Program $750 = No actual Dr or communication or follow up and low dose, 3 month supply of Tirz and supplies.

Route 2 - Dr, labs, medication $650 = Physical Dr consult, comprehensive lab, Reta and supplies.

Tirzepatide began at 2.5 and I increased gradually: 2.5mg for 4 weeks, then 5mg for 4 weeks. For me tirzepatide brought few side effects, just lowered appetite and occasional tiredness, though you still have to stay on top of food and water.

Reta started at 1mg, and the food noise began returning, so after 2 weeks I chose to stack it with tirzepatide 2.5mg. Retatrutide caused diarrhea for just over a week, then it stopped (Pepto was helpful). There is some fatigue 1 or 2 days after injecting, but weight loss has been steady overall.

Tirzepatide - my plan is to titrate up 2.5mg every 2-4 week.

Retatrutide - my plan is to titrate up 1mg every 2-4 weeks.

So far lost 26lbs in 3 months.

Since your therapeutic dose changes the math, I think both options end up costing about the same. At last I am heading into grey for the biggest savings.

The best advice I have come across is to go slow and adjust to what your body needs. I struggle with wanting fast results, but I have to remind myself that my body needs time to lose weight in a healthy way, without adding harm beyond the unknown effects these peptides may already be having, since we are literally the test subjects.

Research and knowledge and is really important.

Reading all the different doses and protocols everyone is on is wild because everyone is different.

Pay close attention to your goals, appropriate dosing, safe and aseptic administration, side effects and cycles.

My plan is to do ongoing research, document and regular labs. I’m exited for everyone’s journey!

Finding out about the grey market has shown me an entirely different tier of scams, and group testing is yet another subject I'm now exploring.

No product has arrived for me so far, but I'm about to get into group testing!
