Hey all! 👋

I just joined and I want to pick up what others have gone through. I'm thinking about trying retatrutide (reta) for losing weight and cutting back on drinking.

I'd really appreciate hearing how it's gone for you, the good and the bad. Thanks!

Welcome aboard! My suggestion is to jump right in and begin browsing — plenty of threads here tie into what you're interested in. You can also make use of the Search tool.

Anything particular you'd like to ask? And may I ask what led you to pick reta as your starting point? From what I've come across, tirz gets mentioned more often than reta for cutting appetite and easing alcohol cravings.

I'm confident you'll come across a lot here worth mulling over, and it'll help steer you as you get going. It's really good that you're aiming to gather information BEFORE taking any dose . . . being deliberate about your decisions right from the start can make a big difference. Wishing you the best!

I’ve only been taking it for a bit more than 7 days, and I’ve already seen a big drop in how much alcohol I drink! Whether Reta deserves all the credit, I can’t say with 100 percent certainty — Oklahoma has been sitting at 105 degrees, and my usual habit is to drink only when I’m out in my shop. Because of the extreme heat, being in my shop hasn’t been possible, so my drinking has been limited anyway. The single occasion I did have a drink, during a dinner outing, I struggled to get through 1 beer and felt no urge for a 2nd.

Glad to have you here! I've been using Reta for roughly 6 months now. I've definitely noticed that I'm drinking less alcohol

What an encouraging beginning!

Same situation for me. I'm only on week 2 of Reta, and I have zero interest in drinking. I'm actually struggling to get enough calories and protein in.

Glad you found us! This community is a solid spot to pick up what others have gone through. For many folks here, reta has turned into quite a ride — particularly around hunger, urges, and rewiring those automatic eating and drinking routines. I'd also like to know how things play out for you on the alcohol front. Best of luck as you begin!

Hi! I'm new around here too and I'm on the verge of kicking off my Reta journey! I've done a decent amount of research and I'm aiming to place my first order sometime this week. The only way is up from this point

Hey, I'm new around here too. Today marks 3 weeks since I began using Reta, and honestly the way I eat has changed for the better — my appetite is under control, and simply noticing small differences has given me motivation. For the first 2 weeks I was at 2mg, and I'm considering bumping up to 3mg tomorrow. So far no unpleasant side effects have come up.

In the past I did a lot of comfort eating and ate just for the sake of it, and that habit is now completely gone for me.

For me it was honestly super simple to shed pounds and completely kill any urge to drink. My dosing went .5 for the first week or two, then 1, after that 2, and finally 4. Honestly it's come across as almost miraculous.
