Hello

Just joined, and I'm on 2.5mg of tirz at the moment. So far there's not much beyond nausea, but I'm hoping it levels off and that I get stronger appetite suppression as I move up in dose. All my life I've been a yo-yo dieter, and I'm hoping to build some better habits

Welcome to the forum. My time on tirz has been just past 1.5 yrs. The scale shows a drop of 65#. That works out to under 1 lb each week. Early on, when I heard about people dropping 2 lbs or more weekly, I felt somewhat disheartened. Still, I told myself that slow and steady is fine. Keep going, and don’t increase your dose until you’ve gone several weeks without losing. I raised my dose every month up to the maximum, following my doctor’s instructions, before I had learned more. Wishing you the best.

Same here — dropping weight is something I've got figured out, but keeping it off is a whole other thing 😥 So there's been plenty of yo-yoing over the years, and I'm really hoping GLP1 turns out to be the answer!

I'm working on accepting the slow, steady approach, even though I'd love to just get rid of it. I'm aware I can drop weight quickly, but that only sends my body into starvation mode, so it comes right back on really fast. So my hope is that by going slowly this time, with tirz helping, I'll be able to keep most of it off.

Honestly the thing that trips me up most is spending the whole day hungry, so my instinct is to rush it, push way too hard, drop the weight quickly, and then my system flips into starvation mode. The moment I stop dieting, every pound returns. On top of that, you never really build a plan for maintaining. For as long as I can remember, it's been either eating way too much or forcing myself to eat far too little just to see the scale move.

Hello! I'm also new to this community. My goal is to shed some pounds so I can have a baby soon. I use tirz as my main option, and doing a split dose appears to ease my nausea. I dropped about 30, paused, put a bit back on, then started again. I hope tirz works better for you as your dose goes up! That's what happened for me.

I appreciate the response—I'd been curious whether splitting the dose could ease nausea. Wishing you a smooth journey.

Could you share how much time passed while you weren't taking it, and once you restarted, was the outcome the same for you? Studies indicate that resuming it tends to be less effective, yet people's own stories don't always match that.

I’ve never used a glp before now. Every other diet I tried fell into different categories, though I’ve heard from people that these still work well even after several cycles. My intention is to remain on them permanently. Because I’m Native, diabetes is common in my family, and carrying extra weight only invites problems

My response ended up under the wrong comment—apologies! Wishing you the best of luck.
