Hello world!

I just picked up a couple more vials since the one I'm currently using is running low. I'd like to ask: I have 1x 10mg (about halfway through right now) and 2x 20mg already reconstituted. After reading that bac water breaks down past 28 days, I went ahead and used the bac water from the first batch of 10mg vials that I got 6 weeks ago. But I didn't expect the first vial to stretch out a month and a half, and now that I'm about to start the 2nd one from the 1st set, I'm concerned I reconstituted the new 20mg batch too soon. I came across some articles saying reta only holds up for about a month or so, with possible degradation. All my vials sit in the middle of my fridge, out of direct light, in the coldest spot I could find. Could someone please tell me if this is the best way to keep them safe? I won't be buying any more reta until I finish the vials I have now, and any information would be greatly appreciated thank you!

The 28-day guidance mostly concerns sterility and beyond-use limits for multidose vials. In certain CDC materials, that 28-day period is framed around BAC's capacity to keep things safe from contamination and maintain sterility.

As Reta stays constituted for longer stretches (weeks or months), it probably sheds a tiny bit of potency, but it's unlikely to become useless on day 29 or even several weeks past that.

What matters more is storing it clean, cool, and away from light. Check the vial for cloudiness or any other indicators of contamination.

Thanks! I'll follow that approach precisely.

The shelf life for a reconstituted vial that most people cite is roughly 28 days when kept in the fridge and away from light. That figure is really about the beyond-use limit for BAC sterility, not about the peptide abruptly dying on day 29. At 6 weeks after mixing, you are beyond that usual window, so even if the solution is still clear, potency should be viewed as a maybe instead of a certainty. If you reconstitute the 20 mg vial ahead of time, the reconstituted countdown begins on the day BAC is added, which means that vial is now following the mixed timeline rather than the far longer one that applies to powder.

No problem at all.

Research examining several reta vials that had been mixed with bac water and kept for more than 90 days found that a single vial lost around 40 percent of its potency. For the majority, the drop stayed under 10% across those same 90+ days.

Contamination risk is honestly not a major concern.

Just wipe the vial down before and after use, and you're good.

This comes up roughly every other week, and there are responses backed by data.

Corporate expiration dates mean nothing to me — they exist to drive more purchases.

At our place we go by the milk test:

Open the milk first

Does the appearance seem off?

Is the smell unpleasant?

Is the taste wrong?

If none of those are yes, it has to be fine.

Though honestly, before I came across gray, vials carried 90 day expirations.

...On top of that, my friends and family keep breaking the fight club rules.

Far too many of them have gone and told other people that we're using Reta for weight loss.

As a result, I'm stuck mixing up a fresh R60 every single week, since a lot of us are now at 9mg per week.

All I can do is wait for another R140 deal to show up.

...even so, if I weren't burning through it this quickly, I'd push past 90 days or keep going until it turns cloudy (following the milk test.)

For bac water once it's opened, I use a 90-day window, and for peptides after mixing, 6 weeks — because a reta or tirz60, mots 40 or bpc20 won't last beyond 5...... some risk-takers push it way longer.

Thanks. It happens when someone hasn't read a single thing on the forum and simply posts.

Usual reconstituted window people quote is fridge, dark, and about 28 days, which is mainly a BAC sterility beyond-use thing rather than the peptide falling off a cliff on day 29. Six weeks mixed is past that typical window, so I'd treat potency as a maybe rather than a given even if it still looks clear. Mixing the 20 mg early does start that reconstituted clock from the day you added BAC, so that vial is on the mixed timeline now rather than the much longer powder one.

After mixing, I'll keep using mine for as long as 10 weeks, though 8 weeks is the longest I've actually pushed it.

Count me in that group. 😁

Thank you. You can when they have never read anything in the forum, and just post.

I'll use mine up to 10 weeks after it's mixed, but have never gone past 8 weeks.

Just added to the subterranean crypto vault we built in Pueblo CO 2 years back.... Your 4000 ft space is okay, -60 degrees, generators humming along and every piece of surveillance gear/motion detector up and running.

That's a charming small spot you've got.

i went through a 60mg reta vial across 18 weeks without any issues. before and after every draw, i wipe the vial stopper. one hospira vial lasted me 7 weeks; when i hit week 6, i mixed up klow, tesa, and ipa — no problems at all, nothing turned to gel or went cloudy.

On 5/25 I began using a 30mg vial, and I continued with it through 8/25, with a portion still remaining. A friend asked for some, so I prepared a 60 and set aside 20 for my own use. I will note that it appears to hit somewhat harder, so perhaps it had degraded enough for that to be noticeable.

When you buy, keep this in mind: if your dose is lower, tirz15 or reta12 can genuinely be the better pick over 60+mg, even when the cost per mg works out higher.
