Hi all. Writing from europe. Just finished week 5 of reta at 2.5mg per week. Down roughly 15lbs, though im also watching what i eat and training. The food noise hasnt gone away one bit and im hungry around the clock. Tempted to bump up to 5mg, but in europe the price is pretty steep..

Glad you're here! For 11 weeks now I've been taking Reta in microdoses, and food noise simply hasn't bothered me. It's unfortunate that you're dealing with that, though—everyone reacts differently!

On a few points: reta's usual titration is closer to 1->2->4->6->8->10->12, though certain trials skipped some of those steps so people could reach the top dose quickly. The 2.5, 5, 7.5 pattern belongs to tirz. Nothing stops you from choosing your own dosing either, and many people settle on something in between.

Beyond that, GLPs hit each person differently. Should food noise still be unchanged after 4 weeks at 4 mg, move up to 6. Cagrilintide and eloralintide are two others worth looking into.

Last thing: lots of anecdotal accounts say tirz handles food noise better than reta, so that could be an option to test. Newer Lilly trial data indicates tirz+elora produces greater weight loss than reta.

Could you point me to where those trial results are available?

Hello and welcome! Nice work on the 15lbs! This differs between individuals, however those using Reta tend to report feeling satiated instead of having the noise silenced. With Tirz, the drop in food noise is more noticeable than with reta. That's the reason certain individuals choose to remain on Tirz.

Regarding dosing, I wouldn't automatically stick to "standard" titration schedules. As with most things, it's about tailoring to your body and how you're feeling. It seems you're still dropping weight despite the food noise - my suggestion would be to remain at a dose for several weeks before increasing, or when you notice progress plateauing, such as no weight loss for a few weeks. Ideally, you want to keep progressing at the lowest dose. If food noise continues to be an issue for you, you might consider trying Tirz or exploring other peps such as Cag alongside Reta.

Appreciate the responses. Still, what’s the way to confirm that my reta is actually legit?

Third-party testing — done alone, through a group buy, or by cross-referencing batch numbers on platforms such as STG or FFPG….or simply put your faith in your supplier.

What you want to do is look for COAs (certificate of analysis) along with completed test reports. Companies such as Janoshik handle this testing. Purity and endotoxins are 2 of the most common test categories. Certain suppliers offer these results (whether you trust them is up to you), while some buyers—individuals or groups (GBs, coordinated test groups)—provide them after submitting their vials for testing (these tend to be more reliable). Another option is sending your own vials in for testing, though it costs more, which explains why people form test groups or hold out for GBs.

Or, you could just pin and pray (not something I'd suggest, but plenty of folks have a far higher risk tolerance than me)

Nice, week 5 for me too. I had the same issue with being hungry nonstop. Are you getting enough food? After I started counting calories, I realized I wasn't eating enough. When I fixed that, the hunger went away. Right now I'm down 20lbs.

Nice work on the weight you've dropped!

Like SctyDsntKnw said, check how you're eating before anything else. Barely eating anything isn't doing you any favors.

Should your food noise stay completely unchanged after spending a few weeks at roughly 5–6 mg weekly, then I'd think about stacking Cagri or Tirz on top, or making the jump to Tirz instead.

Prior to going down that road, my advice is to spend time reading a lot on what your choices actually involve, pros and cons included, so the decision you make is an informed one. This is still research, not something sitting ready-made on a pharmacy shelf.

What makes it so costly? What 1 Mounjaro starter pen costs in Belgium would buy you a kit (10 vials) of Reta 30 mg or Tirz 60 mg, shipping included straight out of China. Buying single vials works out 5 times pricier than that route. Crypto basics are something you'll need to pick up, though.

Good luck!

This week I put in a ton of hours on the forum, soaking up everything there is to know about this stuff. There's always some risk involved, but by reading and learning here, you'll pick up SO MUCH!!! Nice work on the weight you've lost so far!!

No matter how many COA's or tests exist, the vial you inject from never went through testing, and whoever shipped it to you remains unidentified.

I'm fine with that risk, don't need any prayers. THIS IS ME, NOT ADVISE 😜

before injecting, do most people run tests, as far as you know?

Nope, not me. Not once... for any powder I've ever "researched". COA's weren't there.

My guess is that most people don't bother testing.

It really comes down to how much risk you're willing to take, so it's very personal. That said, I do check out a source thoroughly before I purchase from them.

Nice work on dropping 15 pounds. I went with 4mg since I chose to begin at a slightly higher dose, though I'm only in week 2 of it. Things are going well for me, but I'd already been shedding some pounds prior to beginning the Reta. The stomach fat I've carried around since I was young is what I'm aiming to eliminate. I hope it does for you what you're hoping for.

Most people? I doubt that's the case. My sense is that a lot of folks hear peptides are amazing, notice results in relatives, buddies, and on social platforms, then dive right in. Or they're unaware testing even exists, or they'd rather not wait — so they buy from whichever seller and figure it's fine.

Filtering works the same way — plenty of people have no clue about it or never give it a thought.

Fair point, though it's unlikely that one vial comes back clean while another from the same kit is bad — or at least that's the story I tell myself lol. And really, if you're researching and purchasing reta along with these other peps, you've already made peace with those risks
